It is really funny that reports emerged with the Knicks giving May a workout today as I actually had an interview with trainers Brandon Payne (BP) & Blake Boehringer Accelerate Basketball today which is where May has been working out all summer. We discussed other players and topics as well, but here is our bit about May
Me: Another guy who interests me as a Bobcats fan is Sean May, any updates, how is he looking?
BP: Sean is actually doing really really well, hes been shooting the ball EXTREMELY well, his footwork has been OUTSTANDING and his willingness to do some new things, try some new drills and do things he hasn't done in the past has been outstanding. His conditioing level right now is good, so Sean's in a really good position to have an outstanding position wherever he may end up playing.
Me: When you say there is a question where he ends up is that between the NBA and Europe, or just different teams in Europe?
BP: I don't know what his contract situation is in Europe, with the guys we get in we don't really get into contract talk.
Me: Sure, its the last thing they want to discuss I imagine.
BP: Yeah, were in the moment, were in there for two hours and were just trying to help them get better in that time frame.
~END~
So nothing groundbreaking, but it was interesting that he said Sean was in good shape as that has always been his downfall. If May was healthy and in shape I imagine he is talented enough to land himself a roster spot somewhere in the league.
The rest of the interview transcript will go up on our website over the next week or so, we discussed the Curry brothers, Jamison, Morrow, Hendo and other stuff
