I saw this short French guy playing, and he can finish strong !!
I don't want to take quick conclusions, but he might be already better than a lot of Bigs in the league, Valanciunas for example !

I think Valanciunas is better, but Gobert's wingspan is just stupidly long he barely needs to jump to dunk but he is just 230 pounds so he will probably get bullied in the post some

I don't think Valanciunas is anything special, but he's the obvious choice here.
Why is this here? Move this to the Raps board.

He got considerably stronger, if you compare this video and hid DX draft one, he seems improved. So good for Jazz I guess.

Nah he's definitely not as good as Valanciunas. He has a great body and all the tools necessary to become a very good player, but right now Valanciunas is way better than him and it's not even close imo. He never did anything special with Cholet (his French team before being drafted) apart from showcasing some potential.
I think he'll be alright (and I really hope so because our national team desperately needs some bigger and better bigs if we ever want to beat a fully loaded Spain team) but right now there's no contest.

I've watched the Lakers a few times this preseason and let me tell you, they suck. He's just not being boxed out, that's basketball 101 right there. He's definitely a no-fly zone for people on offense around him but yeah, let's temper some hype there a bit.

His rebounding and shot blocking intrigues me the most. He definitely has the potential to be a game changer on the defensive end at least. My prediction of Gobert was Alexis 2.0, but i think he'll be way better than that.

Is this thread a failure since not one Raptors fan found & posted in it yet?
I'm sure they'll find it within another week by November 6th though

I bet if you post a thread displaying negative things about Drummond Piston fans will sniff that out in a nanosecond.
