Re: Hammers: Bobcats @ Rockets
McRoberts clearly with the gold.
MKG ekes out the silver with tremendous hustle swag.
Kemba kept us in it for most of the game, good enough for bronze.
Brown Frown: Zeller. Dumb fouls, dumb defense, mostly innocuous on offense save for that one nice move over Cat's Pee. Could give this to Hendo or Big Al but at least they did something and Al was clearly rusty.

Re: Hammers: Bobcats @ Rockets
Ill give my brown frown to Jeff Taylor. He played pretty big minutes, and didn't do anything, at all.

Re: Hammers: Bobcats @ Rockets
Disagree. Taylor played solid defense and was at least a threat to score. I would have liked him to try and get some layups or FTs to warm up a bit more instead of jacking up shots right off the bat but that's my only complaint. Somebody's post about how he has no in-between game was spot on. If he learned how to do a little more off the dribble he'd clearly supplant Hendo in the line-up.

He just seemed a little timid. The team in general had to get used to Jefferson being in there. They looked a little out of wack.

Most encouraging thing for me was MKG's play. I think he was trying to shake off that fall on the last two free throws, but he should continue to be about a 75% shooter from the line. He does that he's in double figures, and I think it'll be easier on nights without the Houston "Twin Towers," as the announcers referred to them. Similarly, the kid tied Al with 8 rebounds despite Howard and Asik's onslaught on the boards (40 between them). I'm a hopeless optimist, but I see no reason why MKG can't average a near double-double this year, he nearly pulled it off tonight.
