GT: Cats vs Warriors Dec 9 Mon 7PM EST

Post#1 » by fatlever » Sun Dec 8, 2013 5:25 pm

the return of curry always adds a bit of buzz to the game.

biz is likely out, mkg is out.

starters: kemba, henderson, taylor, mcroberts, jefferson
key bench: sessions, zeller, adrien, gordon, tolliver

keys to game: defend the 3pt line, something we havent been great at this year.

good luck charms - how about girls with candy canes... go for it.

Steph Curry can't handle on-ball pressure. Make Kemba press him full or half court so he don't get comfortable. That's the only chance we have at winning. I wish we had MKG to take one of Harrison Barnes or Klay Thompson out of the game. It's a good chance that they may both go off on us as well as David Lee.

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 4m

Jeff Taylor has a heel injury. Highly limited in practice. Questionable for Monday

Check the tape. He's struggled majorly against Tony Parker, Mike Conley, and Patrick Beverley harrassing him with pressure this season. Jarrett Jack isn't there to save him this year. That's why they are barely over .500.

curry has always struggled a bit with aggressive double-teams and pressing defense, thats why losing iggy was a massive blow for them.

that being said, there's only one pg better than curry right now, so his faults are a drop in the bucket compared to his strengths.

Sure he's one of the best PGs in the league and better than anybody we have but where there's a weakness we must attack. We have a similar model of a team to the Grizzlies that have beat them twice this season by slowing down the pace and pressuring Curry. It didn't work last night for the Griz though because Klay was on fire.

i agree with your strategy to attack curry. not sure it will work though with MKG, biz and taylor (maybe) out.

I don't see us winning this game.

Everyone's talking about Curry but Iguodala's playmaking and Bogut's defense just leave me thinking that we don't have any possible ways of getting anything going.

"Iguodala's playmaking" is hamstrung with a injury.

It's always possible to win, even as the Bobcats.

That said, our injuries have got us on the tank $wag.

I never thought I'd say it, but, with MKG out, we're going to be hurting if Taylor doesn't play.
