All it takes is one of those conventional 30-point games from Doug McDermott against a high seeded team in the NCAA tourney, and he's unquestionably in the thick of the lottery

After watching UConn vs. Cincinnati (granted Deandre Daniels sat with back spasms) I don't think they will advance deep enough for Napier to boost his draft status. I think he is a realistic target with our second round pick.

On one ESPN mock I saw Jabari Parker go 5.

I can't fathom 4 teams passing up that kind of NBA ready talent, BBIQ and poise.

Tough loss. They let Cincinnati back into the game, lost their poise, and lacked the hustle to pull off the upset. I was disappointed. I also think for certain that Napier has lost his steam, and will fall into the 2nd round for sure, but I still feel like they could advance into at least the Sweet Sixteen in the tournament. A lot of UConn's issues fall on Brimah not being able to stay out of foul trouble. It seem like the referees have it out for him (or simply lack respect for him as a player)

I also think Boatright is a weak link. I would rather pair Calhoun with Napier.

McDermott is pretty skilled, would be nice to have a rook that was NBA ready for once. Would be interesting to see if an nba trainer could eke some athleticism out of him.

This is my whole thing with McDermott. This team seems to be past the point of picking callow youths and developing them. Take this guy who is NBA ready and plug him in. He will help our team immensely.

BTW, for those who haven't seen him play beyond the shooting highlights, he has one of the best post games in college.

It look like Steve Alford has successfully succeeded in his quest to downplay Zach LaVine's draft stock to assure that the freshman doesn't forego his sophomore year at UCLA for the 2014 draft

Like I said, LaVine is not NBA-ready.

LaVine isn't that good right now, he will probably be good in a few years but we can't keep drafting "in a few years" players

If Lavine isn't that good than what does that say about Gary Harris? Dude had a shooting display that would make Hobe blush.

after what that fan said to him he should have punched him in the face...just because you paid to see a game does not mean you can say whatever you like.

Saying mean things doesn't make it okay for violence. Smart has been throwing temper tantrums and kicking chairs, whining about being accused of flopping, etc. This dude was riding high on his intangibles and when things don't go his way he apparently pouts about it. This will surely drop his draft stock down to where it should have been all along, late lottery.

Saying mean things and being a dick are too different things and I think his stock drops but not because of his tantrums but because his game does not translate well to the pros. Good luck trying to bully ball a grown ass man
