I seriously hope JT won't lose any of his athleticism because of the injury. It could be a career-ender, at least NBA wise.

Guys who typically have an Achilles injury rarely say goodbye to it once. The tendon itself is the main connecting link between the heel bone and the calf muscle. Running, jumping, planting and cutting all require this connection to be unadulterated and strong. JT is going to have to rehab strongly before he is going to feel like his former self
