Gordon Buyout & Potential Replacements

Post#1 » by BobsBuddy » Fri Feb 21, 2014 7:39 pm

:o  With the moves made yesterday and our glut of 3 point shooters should we let one of these guys go to open up a roster spot for a PF defender/ rebounder who is released from another team or is in Dleague?

Would Gordon Walk right now if he could become available to other playoff teams and agree to forgo his salary for remaindar of season? Then it would cost us nothing to rent a released PF from another team..

Is CDR's spot better suited to a Power Forward from the Dleague?

Insurance for the last 20+ games and the playoffs just in case MCBob or Zellar goes down?

gordon yes, CDR no.

CDR has been solid when he played. leave the CDR and the soul tones out of this discussion.

Marc J. Spears ‏@SpearsNBAYahoo 36m

Magic's buy out of forward Glen Davis' contract completed, a source said. He will be a free agent Monday assuming he clears waivers.

Buyout Gordon and maybe bring Glen Davis in?

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 1h

Earl Clark waived by 76ers before ever playing a game. Way Philly is playing, think Clark is the lucky one.

free agents and waived players are getting the vet minimum most likely - regardless of where they sign.

Charlie Villanueva is a better backup PF option than Cody Zeller right now

i wonder what a motivated charlie v on a possible playoff team for 3 months would look like? would he continue to play like he doesnt care or would he actually put forth some effort?
