must win game if we want to have any chance of securing the 6th seed.

good luck charms brought to you by... girls in rain boots, rain jackets or with umbrellas... getting so tired of the rain, 4 days in a row.

If we win tonight I will feel like the 6 seed is alive for us but if we lose...I might want for us to stealth tank for the 8 seed lol because I do not want to face Miami in the 1st round even as a 7 seed. The refs will cheat and they will sweep us in a ugly fashion.

No Garnett.... career night for Jefferson? Over/under for his point total tonight - 35? 40?

Brooklyn is still running two PG sets and Pierce at the four. Clifford won't do it, but this would be the perfect time to go small.

Jefferson - MKG - Henderson - Neal - Kemba

Definitely a must0win game. Jefferson needs to come out strong and firing on all cylinders.

btw, I'd be very happy with a Jefferson/MKG/CDR/Hendo/Kemba lineup tonight

I'm almost 99% certain that we won't see that lineup tonight. One of McRoberts or Zeller will always be in the game, if not Tolliver. I haven't seen Clifford play MKG at PF not a single minute this season yet

good point. last time we played them their small lineup gave us fits. we had mcroberts trying to guard paul pierce. where is the logic in that?

MKG (or at the very least tolliver) should get some minutes at pf.

Question. I don't wanna start a new thread, so I figured there'll be enough activity on here for some responses lol.

How are you guys feeling about Biz? I know his mins are down, but I thought he'd be a nice compliment next to Al Jeff as they balance each other out. Is he what you guys thought he'd be? & Do you see him turning into Al Jeff's defensive anchor in the future?

Gracias.

fyi, we have a thread dedicated to biz. check the 1st two pages or the stickied index thread. you can re-post your question there and also review the past few pages to get an idea of our thoughts on biz.

Ultimately that's what I want to see happen. Right now, the main problem is spacing around Jefferson, Biz provides no spacing whatsoever. Clifford would much rather have Josh McRoberts or Anthony Tolliver hitting threes from the PF position than Biyombo doing absolutely nothing offensively and it's working so I can't argue too much. We don't want to let Jefferson get too comfortable from mid-range either, as he's most effective in the post obviously.

Biz needs time. He's still terrible offensively, not as bad as he was, but he's proving himself to be an excellent defensive player for 10-20 minutes off the bench, which is the perfect role right now. He's only 21, so he's got a long time to improve on offense. Another offseason with Clifford, Ewing, and Big Al training him up should do him a lot of good on both ends.

Bottom line, we love him, and can't wait till he's ready for a bigger role.

I don't think Biz will ever play alongside Al b/c they show no desire to develop any PF skills in Biz. I'm hoping that Biz grows into Al's replacement when Al's contract runs out and that Zeller (or Randle if he somehow fell to us) is our PF of the future, creating a very dangerous, uptempo team.

Bismack Biyombo is one of the best rim protectors in the NBA, although in limited minutes that isn't nothing to sneeze at considering how raw of a talent he is. I would love to see how well he could complement Al Jefferson in the frontcourt as a defensive anchor, but unfortunately Clifford has yet to test those waters for even a stint this season

I could imagine Biyombo grabbing at least 4 offensive rebounds per game playing alongside Jefferson, considering all the attention that Jefferson receives as a post threat & how good of a rebound Biyombo has become

I think the primary reason that Clifford plays Zeller alongside Al so much is b/c Zeller is no slouch at getting contested rebounds with his athleticism and energy. (had a contested Reb % of 44% last time I checked). Biz could do that better but Zeller has him beat in the passing, IQ, and dribbling department so the CZ experiment will continue.

last time I remember saying that we don't match up well with them, although to be fair that is the case with a lot of teams that have faced the Nets.

as Benjamin Linus (god.. I still love that username, haha. still a hardcore Lost fan) pointed out - we do need to do something about it first. otherwis they'll pick-n-roll us to death again. either the agile centers in Plumlee and Blatche will abuse Al (one with cuts, the other one with pop outs after the screen) or they'll swing the ball to Pierce and Teletovic who are manning the four spot and knocking down threes.

With Washington losing last night to Sacramento, a win tonight could go a long way.

Maybe you're right about tonight, but when we couldn't score against ATL we saw a lineup with Tolliver at the four, might have been the second line with Biz though.

After everything that happened to Gerald Wallace, I cannot see the organization ever greenlighting minutes at the four for MKG. Maybe in another season or two. But I completely understand why and I'll never argue against it. Its not worth the risk.

Deron Williams eats Kemba

If they studied the Hawks gametape at all they will beat us. that team had us figured out

normally i would agree, but when they have paul pierce at power forward i think we can get away with MKG also at power forward.

aggressively double and triple team al as soon as he catches a pass in the paint. play 10 feet off the other 4 starters and bet they dont make enough jumpers.
