was gonna say Jusuf Nurkic...but nah Nurkic is actually a skilled post player, a lot of mocks (well basically all of them) have him going 10-15

Naaw. I'd take Smart before Gordon. Smart could at least be a good backup combo PG or secondary ball handler. Gordon is just a tinted version of Zeller with a mean streak.

It's amazing but nobody has compared Gordon's overrated ass to MKG.

Hustle, motor, defense, passing, rebounding, intangibles, speed, agility, moves well project on offense.

He gets compared to everyone but MKG.

MKG fans should be horny over this pick.

Gordon is a taller MKG.

Smart is going to be Rodney Stuckey. I'd take an improved Zeller 9 times out of 10 rather than a Rodney Stuckey clone.

I would take Stuckey over Zeller right now if they were almost the same age.

then you and I have differing opinions of Zeller and Stuckey. Stuckey is literally a poor man's Henderson.

We already have MKG...we don't need another one. That doesn't mean we don't appreciate the one we have.

We need offense. Drafting a limited offensive player doesn't make sense.

I agree. One MKG is plenty.

Figured you'd say one MKG is one MKG too many.

That would be rude.

If we bend and twist and contort the roster just right, we can accommodate him on a team built around Kemba Walker.

And by that you mean have a SG that can hit more than a midrange fadeaway? Our primary problem offensively this season was that Hendo, MKG and McBob could not be counted on to generate offense (other than McBob's dishes or occasionally blowing up from outside). It's not contorting the roster to add a legitimate scoring option at the 2.

Stuckey was ruined because he was a SG they went hard against the grain for like 5 years to try to make a PG until he was damaged goods. He would've been a good SG. I don't know what Zeller can be quite yet but if they were both 21 I would take Stuckey.

I agree, those 3 are a mess on offense and 2 of the 3 need to be replaced. MKG stays but he may spur the Hornet to skimp on defense with SG and/or PF but that should be the major perk of leaving MKG, a defense only player, where he is on the roster.

Agreed, that's why I'm not afraid to take "another white guy" with our 9th pick in Stauskas.

Marcus Smart could very well end up being the best player out of this draft if he could keep his head on right.

On the other hand if we draft Aaron Gordon...
