I have LaVine for his shooting, scoring, handles and upside. I took Stauskas ahead of him for a larger sample size of shooting, scoring and handles plus one year of drastic improvement in production on record especially in the assist department. I think Stauskas will make everyone better even though LaVine might end up a better player statistically.

Young right now but flopping between him and McDermott. It is close for me so I might switch.

Difficult choice between McDermott and LaVine. Went with LaVine, but I am in anguish over the decision. This is gonna keep me up tonight. Sad.

Harris for his tenacious defense and polished offensive game.

I like LaVine next best, but he honestly scares the crap out of me. Love the athleticism, ball-handling, and blow-by ability. Not crazy about the fact he's terrible with contact and completely vanishes some games. I'd still take him over Dougie and Young.

It took to pick #9, but we finally have a real race on for a pick.

This goes to McD, and easily in my book. The kid has game that I think will work in the league. He is a tweener of sorts, maybe fitting best in a 6th man role. I see him as a game changer relative to his ability to hit shots out and in, create space, and connect with his passing. His defense will be nominal, but his overall athleticism will help him compensate.

Then wait until you see 180 lb Lavine try with futility to defend opposing 2 guards like wade, stephenson, afflalo, etc who have 30-40 lbs on him.

I'm as intrigued by Lavine's potential as anybody but his defense should be every bit as concerning as McDermott's, if not more so.

Yeah, Lavines going to need to gain a good 20-25 pounds, and that doesn't happen overnight.

Durant and Curry still need to gain a good 20 lbs, so could Kevin Martin and any number of string beans. You just don't need to be all that muscular in the NBA these days unless you're banging in the paint most of the time (and even then you can go the Boris Diaw route and just eat French food all day).

That being said, I'm ready to win NOW! Screw these guys with star potential, I want the perfect guy for the Alfense, Dougie Fresh McShoot-a-lot.

Durant and Curry are great at creating offense. LaVine at this point isn't much more than a spot up shooter and a dunker in transition.

LaVine will be a much better player than McDermott down the road, and since Clifford essentially will have his rotation set, why draft a win now player with a low ceiling, than draft a up and comer who could be a star? Makes no sense for a team who's talent ceiling is low
