Jordan Adams thread

I read a great article on the UCLA Guards, it was more focused on Jordan Adams

http://hoopsanalyst.com/?p=1248

I still like Adams quite a bit as a prospect. Players who do as many things as well as Adams has in his first two college seasons have always fared well as pros. The low blocks are a concern, but not enough that I wouldn’t take a chance on him in the top 10 or even higher. I see him as a potential future NBA all-star at SG and if, as the mocks currently have it, he slips into the late first round, some team is going to be very happy to draft him there.

I agree look at him for 24 not 9, but the metrics he cites are interesting to say the least.

I can honestly say that I like Jordan Adams more than P.J. Hairston as a prospect. Hairston may be more athletic, but Adams' offensive repertoire as a whole is more advanced in variety. I also think Adams is the better defender. Adams was a above average defender before the weight loss despite his lack of superficial agility, so I'm sure his instincts & knack for deflections will increase after shedding 20 plus pounds. I agree with the analyst that Adams is one of those sleeper picks that could make a few All-Star appearances, especially if he land in the right situation on a contender

This is such a classic example of someone, Adams, who is already a player versus someone, Lavine, who is all potential. BTW folks, they are the same age, 19.

Everybody wants the sexy choice, the guy who can jump out of the gym, but Adams is the type of player San Antonio nabs in the 20s, because he already knows how to be effective. A young Wesley Matthews?

Reminds me a little of Michael Redd.

Guy just knows how to play basketball. He is not a super elite athlete or a lockdown defender, but he is always in right place at right time, has good instincts and feel for the game. Plus he just finds ways to get the ball in the hole.

Yeah, that's very well-put. If he can improve his defense and stop gambling so much, he'll be a really solid rotation guy, maybe even starter material.

Oh look, I did a report on him awhile back for Lottery Mafia: http://thelotterymafia.com/nba-draft/jordan-adams-bruising-bruin.html

When I want to read detailed articles I go there, and not the Observer.

Not even kidding. Good work.

His offensive game reminds me of Waiters, he could be a microwave off of the bench but I honestly have no idea about his defense.
