Hornets Draft Party

Post#1 » by yosemiteben » Wed Jun 18, 2014 9:07 pm

Anyone planning on going to this? http://www.nba.com/hornets/rsvp

Planning on taking my 4 year old. We went last year and had a blast, though it's HIGHLY unlikely we stay until pick 24. Hoping to get a sneak peak at the court.

Good find! I just registered so thanks!

I will be there rocking my Ichiro T so if any Misterglovers out there want to confront me for being the antiGilchrist, be my guest.

I registered to win the draft package as well - hat, shoes and T. Would trade it all for a Stauskas jersey.

After we pick Gary Harris I would love to have a beer with some of you. I might be rocking a Michigan State t shirt for the special occasion.

And if that happens, I will pour salt on jdm's wounds and pose next to you wearing a Gary Coleman T-shirt. And we can post our pics on the board.

They better get me before I get to him. I am easily twice as big and would snap him like a twig.

After I registered I saw a confirmation page but my email didn't get any notice or any tickets or anything. I'm hoping there's something actually sent so I don't show up there and have to pay a bunch of money.

Something tells me after last year he won't be in attendance. I'm hoping for Stauskas cheers to atone for those Zeller boos. I honestly think the place would go nuts if we draft Stauskas.

There must be some paper involved since it's an invitation, first-come, first-serve kind of thing. It also asks how many attendees. I clicked 2 so I can maybe try to get a girl to come along. My home is in Charlotte and lots of my friends still live there. At the very least, one of them is a fan and would probably want to come out.

If he wastes this pick it would be very smart for him to be hiding in his office. The thing is you know he is somewhere in that building.

He won't be there at the draft in Chicago? Who's going to give Harris his Hornets hat?

Maybe if he is there someone in the war room doesn't listen and selects a different player.

I received my verification of attendance phone call from someone in marketing today. He's going to email notification in advance of the draft. He asked me what I am most looking forward to about this draft party. Can anybody guess my answer? Of course I gave my horse a plug.
