...was a advance scout for the Miami Heat not too long too. I like this hiring from the tedious relationship he's had with Clifford and the fact that he's actually played at at least the collegiate level of basketball. I have a dubious view on people that haven't played a high level of basketball trying to dictate basketball

so the last new assistant replaced the guy who went to help SVG in Detroit. is this guy replacing anybody? or are they just adding an assistant to the bench? if they're just adding, that's really cool and a sign that the Hornets are putting some resources behind Clifford to accentuate player development. really exciting to see the organizational priorities align like that.

Well, hopefully this does not mean he is Mark Price's replacement (because of MKG's shot if nothing else).

Departures? Who else left aside from Bob Beyer?

Huh, so Clifford looks like a homicide detective and now he's brought on a guy that sounds like a stereotypical NY Irish cop.

Steve Clifford

Patrick Ewing
Mark Price
Bob Weiss
Stephen Silas
Steve Hetzel
Pat Delany

I don't know a whole lot about Hetzel or Delany, aside from D-League HC experience, but surely we have one of the strongest coaching staff's in the NBA?

Also, I know there is a limit in regards to how many coaches can sit on the bench, does anyone know that number?
