I think this will be a good move personally.

Marv has copped a lot of Heat but is a serviceable player, we're not the freaking Lakers, under the radar deals are what we need to be competitive.

Will be a solid backup/role player.

Frack. Henderson has to go now. 7mil is too rich for a backup SF who won't play in crunch time.

I find it really hard to believe Marvin got an offer above 2 yr/10 million anywhere else.

Why the extra 4 million?

Anyone who thinks this guy is going to be our starting PF is fooling themselves. He will be a nice backup, but 7 million? What the hell.

This is worst than the Jodie Meeks deal that the Pistons did

Would imagine someone would give him full mid level for 2 or 3 years. We had to go up in annual payout to limit to two years. 2 year mle around 11 mil. 3 around 16.5.

Whats next? Are we going to go after Eric Montross and Makhtar N'Diaye? We may as well bring in Ed Cota.

This is only a good move if we can get out of Henderson's contract and sign a starting SG. I'd rather have Marvin at that money than Henderson, at least Marvin can comfortably play SF, hit 3's, and rebound. So if it was a straight Henderson/Marvin swap for the same dough, then ok. But not keeping both of them.

I had a feeling we'd sign him today, but not at 7 mill per year! maybe its front-loaded so it helps us out some, 3 million now 11 million next year as trade bait

We just had to add a Jazz player, no matter the cost.
