Marc Gasol look godly in their first game. Jefferson struggled last year against Gasol. I predict another really tough scoring night from Big Al. Lance might still be hurtung. Kemba is probably going to have to carry the load again. Hopefully we can get some better production from Neal and Hendo this time while getting similar production from MKG and Marvin.

We are going to need our A game for this one. I cringe at what their front court might do to do ours offensively. Z-Bo might just beat every one of our PFs to a pulp.
Hopefully we can shoot better from 3 tomorrow and our wing production takes a spike up.

Kemba's hesitation crossover is a thing of beauty. I'll never get tired of seeing it.

The days off after an emotional overtime game will benefit the Hornets. We got the jitters out that first game and Clifford has 2 days of practice with them to help catch up some of the players who didn't get consistent minutes during the preseason for health or whatever reason. I expect us to perform better. I also expect our home court advantage to come into play. I'm planning to go to this game as I'm driving back to Charlotte tomorrow to check on my home.
They may manhandle us inside but their perimeter D can't contain our up tempo PG and wings and their bigs aren't anything special on defense.
Drive, drive, drive. Slice up and dice the paint. Occasionally drive and kick to keep them honest. Move that ball.
Is Biz going to be called upon to try to contain Gasol and Randolph?

I doubt it, but I hope so. I still remember Clifford trying to defend Hibbert with Adrien after replacing Biyombo in the lineup

Didn't realize Gasol was lockdown. Sign him up next year - steal him from the Knickerbockers.

I'd love to find a way to get Gasol in the offseason...Maybe if Memphis goes 3-30 to start the season and we can trade for him since he'll be a FA anyway
pipe dream

Yeah, it's definitely a dream. He's either staying in Memphis or he'll sign with the Knicks/Spurs. I'd be shocked if he went anywhere besides those three teams.

I see a blowout coming. I have not been impressed with this team at all. They are not playing defense.

I know it was Milwaukee and our defense was bad for the first 2.5 quarters, but oh DRTG was better on Wednesday than it was last year. We clamped down BIG TIME from halfway through the 3rd to the end.
I have no issues with our defense right now. 2.5 bad quarters isn't going to change that.

Jefferson needs to start making quicker decisions. A ton of the time last game he was 1 on 1 for a couple seconds only to hold onto the ball and wait for a double. I would much rather him go at his guy before waiting on the double, especially in that match up against the Bucks. It causes our guys to start ball watching which is never a good thing.

I wasn't impressed with the defense at a lot of points against Milwaukee, however I think a lot of that was just the team getting broken in. We lost a lot of would-be points on some beautiful plays that just got botched at the last second. Everyone has off days, it says a lot more to me that we were able to dig our way out of that insane self-induced deficit.
This will be our second game of the season, we will be well-rested and I think that last game knocked some of the rust off of the machine. Rust don't discriminate, just look at what happened to Cleveland.
