Some guys I'd like to see CHA make a run at this summer:

Robin Lopez
Wesley Matthews
Kyle Singler (41% from 3 as a stretch 3 in DET)
Cory Joseph (23, 6'3, nice young backup to Kemba)

Here's the HoopsHype list of 2015 Free Agents:
http://hoopshype.com/free_agency_2015.htm

See anyone you want?

Wesley Matthews is about to get PAID. We don't talk about him every day, but he's right up there with the best two guards of the league.

Of course, Wes is not the best creator, even though he's nasty and tough to handle in the post and can make very difficult jumpers, but other than that he's very good on both ends. I don't know whether we can realistically going after him considering that we might want to look at our own "stars" first, it will be the free agency before the magical 2015-16 summer and so on, but I like Wes Matthews, the player.

Always viewed Matthews as the second best fit SG in the NBA for us behind Klay since he's that unconscious catch-and-shoot 3pt shooter that Kemba need. He's creeping up there in age but I still think he's gonna get paid two shades under the max similar to how we paid Big Al.

Matthews + Monroe for me.

It will end up being Afflalo + Al opt in.

Almost no injury history, very hard and humble worker and will turn 29 next year.

He definitely is older than you would have randomly guessed but I think there shouldn't be much harm in getting the next four years out of him. Obviously, though there is some price which is too high for signing Wesley Matthews. We'll see if there is that one team that raises it and makes things tough for Rip City.

I know MKG isn't a free agent yet, but going ahead and extending him before the cap jump comes would be one of the smartest things we could do this offseason. Offer him 4 years $40 million and be willing to go up to $44 million with some nice incentives if he makes an all-star team, all-defensive team, or get's the DPOY award.

As for free agency though we should wait as late as possible to extend Biyombo (if we plan to) considering the fantastic market for bigs this year, and hope that Big Al tells us early if he plans to opt out so we can explore the possibility of going after guys like Lopez, Monroe, or hell even Gasol. The more shooting area is hard to pin down though because I think Henderson will opt in and with Lance still on board we won't have the money to go after someone like Matthews while looking to sign a Center at the same time. Really, it's hard to get an idea of what strategy we will pursue until we know what Jefferson and Henderson will decide to do.

There's always the possibility that Lance's 9 million gets moved for Afflalo's expiring and both Hendo + Al opt out.

That scenario creates plenty of space for Matthews + Monroe.

Kemba Walker/Roberts - PG
Wesley Matthews/Hairston - SG
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist/Taylor - SF
Cody Zeller/Vonleh - PF
Greg Monroe/Biz - C

That's a dream scenario for us. While Mornoe doesn't exactly fly up and down the court his ability to make the full court pass is exceptional. We'd be the deadliest team in the league in transition and play suffocating defense. That's a formula that championship teams have followed, I'd be excited to see it to say the least.

I wonder if Khris Middleton might be available. He has been very solid for Milwaukee while shooting 41% threes

He is restricted and many teams ought to be interested:
If Middleton has another season like he did last year, teams may start poking around to see if Middleton fits their needs. And he probably does. How many teams have filled their quota of 23-year-old, 6’8″ wings who can make 40% of their threes and shoot equally well of the catch and the bounce?

The Bucks cannot reward Middleton with a contract extension that keeps him in Milwaukee for the long term. The rules for former first- and second-round picks differ. So Middleton is destined to hit the free-agent market this summer no matter what happens between now and then.

In the end, Middleton may not be the creator or the focal part of an offense that Brandon Knight is, but he may draw more interest than Knight for being nearly an ideal role player.

The conundrum for the Bucks is that role players aren’t core players, even the really good role players. If the Bucks want to develop a team centered on the talents of Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker, and if that core is a few years away from prime NBA success, the Bucks — a team that has historically overpaid role players … badly … sadly … ugh — have to figure out the right price for Middleton. Surely they want to keep him, but they have to be careful about getting into a bidding war with a win-now team with whom Middleton may be a better match.

Tobias Harris is restricted, isn't he? He'd be another Gordon Hayward imo.

How much would you be willing to pay Tobias Harris?

Kosta Koufos might be a cheaper option if some of those centers like Robin Lopez get overpaid.

But yeah, Wesley Matthews would be my number one target this offseason. He would be such a great fit for this team. I also like Tobias Harris as a young, scoring stretch-four to put next to Biz but he might be too expensive / hard to get.

Doubt we would be able to carve out the capspace to sign all three, but a starting lineup of Biz-Tobias-MKG-Matthews-Kemba could be pretty awesome in the Eastern Conference.

A little less than Hayward - 13-14 million.

I just don't see how Harris makes us better. Hayward fit our needs. The Magic have been playing much better, granted it's a limited sample size, since he's been injured.

Harris is not the type of player that a team should pay that type of money, but that's a matter of my own opinion. His stat line appears like he's on the brink of becoming a star player, but I just don't ever see enough substance or intangibles in his game that'll make me consider him a difference maker

Yep, same here.

A guy who will get his 20 but not really affect the game for the better by doing this.

i really don't see Matthews leaving Portland, that's why I brought up Middleton, hoping he could be a Matthews light.

I don't watch very many Orlando games so I could be wrong, but it seems to me that Tobias Harris is just a poor fit next to Vucavic. You're probably not going to win many games when neither of your starting bigs are any good on defense. But Harris could fit in well next to Biz and MKG.

Besides, even if we add a shooter that can get us 16+ PPG at SG, I still think we need at least one more player that can get us 16+ PPG. I think it would be fitting if that player was also a young PF that can also score from range. But I get the concerns, maybe he's a ball-stopper as well?
