And while Kemba hasn’t exactly disappointed these past two games, it has been Jeremy Lamb — the long-armed Robin to Kemba’s Batman — that put UConn into the Final Four.
Against San Diego State, Kemba had 34 points and took over the game down the stretch. He scored all 12 points in a 12-2 run that turned a 54-53 deficit into a 65-56 lead with just over four minutes left. But San Diego State scored the next eight points, cutting UConn’s lead to just one with 1:39 left.
That’s when Lamb stepped up.
The freshman drilled a 3-pointer to stop the Aztecs’ run and, with just 30 seconds left, made a steal that led to a dunk, giving UConn a 70-64 lead and sealing the win. Lamb finished with 26 points on 9-of-11 shooting.
Against Arizona, Lamb played just as big of a role down the stretch. Kemba was struggling in the second half, as Arizona was running two or three guys at him when he would try to penetrate. The space wasn’t there, so coach Jim Calhoun used him almost as a decoy, running off of screens and setting up Lamb along the baseline. And the youngster responded, finishing with 12 of his 19 points in the second half.
It wasn’t just the points he scored, however. It was when he scored them.

Just make the trade already for fux sakes. And to all our great mods feel free to lock this thread ASAP but Lamb is such a shadowing topic discussed on this board that he should have his own thread. At least until the trade deadline is over.

I swear the first time I heard his name on the board it was 1993. Yep, just a year after his birthday. Some already saw the potential in him to lead the team once Larry Johnson entered his twilight years.

Baby Lamb was already spacing the court on his nerf hoop.

Walker was named the Most Outstanding Player of the regional after scoring 20 points and dishing out seven assists Saturday. He didn’t have his best shooting performance (7-for-17), and quite possibly his best move was encouraging the team to feed the ball to freshman Jeremy Lamb.

UConn, which starts three freshmen and a sophomore alongside Walker, won this game not with an eye-popping performance from the national player of the year candidate, but as a team. Lamb showed so much poise that Walker deferred to him.

I'm all in for bringing him here though. Giving him a try just couldn't hurt.

Robin (Lamb) was a neglected orphan that nobody cared or thought twice about, not even his foster parents (OKC and Scott Brooks) until Batman (Kemba) took him under his wing.

Like Batman, Kemba don't have no superpowers (elite athleticism) but he has heart and fight. Get Kemba his Robin. Trade for Lamb and let's get this sh*t over with whether it turn out good or bad.

Low-risk move that could have a big impact. OKC will probably cough him up for next to nothing.

If OKC was wanting to give Lopez a run I wonder if we could do a deal around big Al for Reggie Jackson/Jeremy Lamb

Ever hear the Gummy Soul remix of this album? It's really good. I think I like it better than the original. Great album though.

He badly needs a change of scenery, think he can still become a high impact starting shooting guard in this league. Teaming up with Kemba might be an ideal Mike Sorrentino for him.

A guy who is not even on our roster is going to end up having the most active thread on the board.

first time I've heard it. it's good. nothing beats the original though. I have probably heard it too many times for me to associate those lyrics with another beat.

Honestly, it make me question Scott Brooks as a coach even more than I already have. Brooks' reasoning for benching Lamb is because he's lacked consistency, but Lamb has played and shot better than Dion Waiters currently is
