Probably can get either one of them cheaply.

Re: Charlotte Looking for a PG
Before all the Roberts **** talking starts, I think this is clearly an effort to bring in a backup to Roberts since Pargo is unavailable and we're not sure when he'll get back. We brought in Roberts specifically so he could step in and get starter's minutes if we need him to.
“Organization, pick-and-roll game and (long-range) shooting,” Clifford said of Roberts’ attributes.
“I also like that he had the chance to play as a full-time starter. If your (starter) goes down, you want the backup ready to play a bigger role. He’s experienced in playing against starters in starter’s minutes.”

I'd trade for Lin or Andre Miller.
Also wouldn't mind taking a look at Seth Curry. He's doing well in the D League.

Re: Charlotte Looking for a PG
Hopefully we can just find someone competent like that for a 2nd round pick. Doesn't Miami have a glut of PGs now that Shabazz has rounded into form a bit? Cole wouldn't be the worst player in the world, I'd take him over Roberts down the stretch for sure.

Re: Charlotte Looking for a PG
If we woulda signed a legit backup PG this offseason instead of picking up Roberts from the scrap heap of trash this coulda been avoided.
Looks like we're tryna replace each offseason signing we made. Lol. Lance, Marv, and Roberts.

Wonder what Sac wants for Sessions. They were trying to unload Nik not long ago. How about Taylor and Neal for Sessions and Nik? We throw in a couple seconds.

Cole and Ramon both make 2 million, how are we going to trade for either one of them? PJ fits, but i would be pretty mad if we trade PJ for either one of them.

We could have signed anyone for PG and still would be down to one after Kemba and Pargo went down. It is not that they don't like Roberts but that they need a back up.

Cho is gonna have to dump an asset just to plug a temporary hole. That sucks.

I put it to you like this, if Roberts woulda been hurt and Kemba was healthy I seriously doubt that they'd be looking for another PG. Woulda just plugged Lance or Neal and kept it moving.

They were looking to drop salary so I still say Neal and Taylor for Sessions and Nik. We get a young shooter they want to unload and a PG they get expiring contracts.

Re: Charlotte Looking for a PG
I would give Miami their pick back and Jeff for Cole, but thats it. same for Ramon.
Would prefer to just get a D-Leaguer or sign a FA guy on a 10-day contract

So we needed to get a second Kemba this off season? If we had picked up anyone this offseason we would be in the same spot. Nelson or Williams don't change our needs now. None are answers for this situation.

So when we run Roberts for 35+ minutes at PG instead of splitting time with Neal or Lance are you going to agree that they prefer a true PG?

I would have to see it to believe it. It look like Lance run the point whenever him and Roberts are on the floor.
But if what you say were to happen without Roberts getting ripped like 5 times then I would have to say I'm stupidly wrong and agree with you more often.

I think Lance is like the emergency PG. Great if it is a one or two game need but not the extended answer. Like the baseball emergency catcher. He can finish out a game and maybe even backup for one but if it is more than that you call a guy up from the minors.
