Figured the thought of starting against Roberts would have alleviated any headaches. He would have had a party against our crappy backup

Thank God.

If Wall is sitting for this game, we have to win this one. I feel much better about our chances of beating them with Wall when we get them in Charlotte later this week. Going 2-0 against them this week would be HUGE for us.

Wall is out? That's a stroke of good luck for us, we at least have a shot at this thing now. Win tonight would be HUGE. I expected us to lose the Denver game and this one for sure, now we're going 1-1 at minimum. 2-0 would be a gift.

Hopefully Wall don't play. Wall abusing Roberts is about the only thing that take away our chance to pull of a win in this one.

What boat is everyone on right now? Chalk it up let the young guys most importantly Vonleh ,PJ and Biz(who has really been surprising me lately) heavy playing time/Walker rests for the season after injury. or go all in for the playoffs/Alfense and have Walker return soon as he is cleared?

I'm on the boat of trying our best to stay in the playoff race until Kemba returns. I don't believe in tanking.

I dont believe in tanking either but its different when half your team is using handicap parking lol were beat up man its not just Walker, Biz is all banged up and so is Marvin.

Letting the young guys play more will result in more Wins, so it's the best of both worlds.

That would be ideal it just usually never works that way. all the good teams usually have talent that just doesn't get the opportunity to play because the team there on unlike the 76ers were you can get 20MPG if you can score 30 at a local YMCA.

If were not getting Lamb from OKC why dont they look at PJ3, hes on the same boat as Lamb. huge potential but a horrible coach that doesnt develop players. I think PJ3 would be a stud here in Charlotte playing behind MKG.

The East is so bad, and the bottom four teams overall have so many losses, that I'm not sure tanking via playing our young guys would actually result in a huge boost in our lottery odds. If we fall out of the playoff race naturally we'll be roughly where Detroit currently sits with a 1.1% shot at the 1st pick. If we can leapfrog Boston/Utah/Sacramento (doubtful) those odds only rise to 4.3%. The odds of being top 3 would improve a bit more, going from 4% to 15%. That's the logical argument for not attempting a tank.

I'm in favor of shooting for the playoffs regardless though, I too do not believe in tanking. I think we can give Vonleh the minutes Maxiell gets if we want and it's not going to be much of a dip (if at all) in overall performance. It's much more important to build a consistent winning culture, especially with so many young guys on our squad who will improve, than it is to add one more prospect. If we can hang in there until Kemba gets back we're the odds-on favorite for the 8th seed, no course of action will make us odds-on favorite for a top-3 pick, so that pretty much seals it in my mind.
