I don't want to put MKG on John Wall right off since he doesn't need to get in foul trouble, but in the second half or at some point in the game he has to guard Wall at some point. Wall may very well lay waste to Mo on the offensive end.

Big game.

But then again who is going to guard Pierce? As fantastic as Mo has been on the offensive end his defense against quicker athletic guards is really, really problematic.

Go with MKG on Wall and Hendo on Pierce. That leaves Beal I guess for Williams.

We could really use Kemba tomorrow, I hope Clifford agrees.

Henderson is a good defender and all, but Pierce would back him down with utter ease. Hell, he backs MKG down with ease. Really tough match up for us tomorrow from a defensive standpoint

I'd rather keep MKG on Beal and Hendo on Pierce and let Mo handle Wall and just play off him. Wall has been shooting terrible lately. Make the switch at half if you have to but Wall's real threat right now is creating for others. I don't know if MKG can slow down the assist machine by himself since so much depends on what's going on off the ball.

I don't think Beal is a big enough threat to put MKG on him. Hes been terrible lately.

I'm down with MKG on Pierce and then just sticking him on whoever is scoring like we did with RJ. Who was Mo guarding down the stretch against Detroit, Meeks?

Beal didn't even play in the game against MIL yesterday. Not sure what was wrong with him, or if he'll be out against us.

I believe so. Mo really, really struggles against quick athletic guards, or quick guards in general. Let alone in pick and roll defense with Al as a help defender which makes him look even worse although its not entirely his fault. Wall has struggled lately, but if hes going to have a breakout game its going to be against Mo, unfortunately.

Yeah, guess that's what RJ did. If we put Mo on Beal, no more come from behind swipes on shots. He did that like five times tonight and that Meeks foul at the end of the game was terrible.

Were lucky we didn't lose tonight. I've never in my life seen such piss poor play from an inbounds play on literally 4 or 5 straight possessions as tonight. Clifford better spend the entire shoot around tomorrow on inbounds plays, because tonight was completely pathetic, and I don't blame it all on Marvin either.

You guys are acting like John Wall scorches us or something. He's gonna get bogged down in half-court type game as usual and Beal is gonna happily take long 2s as usual and Pierce is gonna be old and Gortat is gonna be overpaid/lazy and Wittman is gonna show everyone why he's a crappy coach again.

This is the first game in a looooong time that I'm not even remotely worried about.

(Which means we'll get annihilated)

Are the Wizards still the awful team I remember them being? Looks like they've got nobody who can hit a somewhat contested 3. Pierce isn't looking good, Butler won't be an x-factor, I don't see the threat. We've got bigs who match up well. Bradley Beal has played badly so far.

And read this article about John Wall playing through pain - link. Sucks for him right now.

Another spread I Am surprised at.

We are favored by 1 1/2. I think we lose tonight...

How do we usually fare in the back to backs?

Last year we were abysmal, this season we've actually played pretty decent.

I think I just counted 7-8. That's pretty respectable.
