I know this was mentioned already in the OT thread, but I felt this news was deserving of its own thread.

This is big news for the brand of the Hornets. Its certainly not ideal for training camp development, but I think the trade-off is worth it. Hopefully the team can win some fans while we are there.

It's funny. I spent a decent chunk of time in both Hong Kong and Shanghai not too long ago. It's amusing to me that they are going to be forced to play in Shenzhen, such a tiny swipe at Hong Kong ... and make no mistake the NAB is pretty popular in Hong Kong.

BTW if you ever go to Hong Kong and take a taxi from the airport ... take the Red taxi. The green ones only go to Shenzhen and it can be problematic getting back to Hong Kong if your paperwork isn't 100%.

Overall I think that this is a good thing for the Hornets, and not just in terms of branding. Both cities are good places to visit.

Maybe we can steal some scouts or coaches from the CBA.

Clifford on why Vonleh has not played in 2015-2016

Clifford: "Well, um, you know... Noah had some problems in preseason when we went to China. He was sick for a week due to the, um, you know, food he ate. He really missed a lot of time and he is just now catching up. In this league, and Pat and Steven will tell you the same thing, in this league, these young guys can't afford to miss any time in preseason. We are hoping that next year Noah can get a few minutes here and there and by 2018 he should be ready for some steady action behind Jason."
