anyone know when our workouts start? I have saw that several teams have been working out guys already. Lakers had some 2nd round picks last week, Suns had Booker today, Pacers have had several etc.

I saw that tweet on Johnson a week or so ago, but couldn't find anything from the quoted source.

I anticipated we'd have some second rounders in today, but I haven't seen anything.

I believe so. I love watching the Kings workouts. They do a fantastic job showing the drills, etc. Our team doesn't do anything like that.

We're either doing a mock workout to get our staff ready or scouting for our summer league team. Seems like none of the guys we brought in today are in the running to be drafted.

At what point do we start working out players that are even in the running to be drafted in the lottery?

Or at least prospects that we might take in the second round.

Why is this guy getting a workout: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/66734/antonio-robinson

I really wouldn't doubt either. The best thing going for these guys is likely availability. Last year when Joe Harris couldn't get down here we called up Leslie McDonald last minute so we'd have six guys.

Hornets.com interviewed him too: "Yeah, uh...this IS my first workout."

Year after year after year we workout the most undesirable prospects sprinkled with very very very little high profile prospects. If we're working out Stanley Johnson that mean that he's one of the maybe 3 players that Cho is interested in. Pay close attention to the very few other big names we workout in our range because that will be our pick.

PS. I know we didn't workout Vonleh and he fell to us and it was a no-brainer blah blah blah.

I'm familiar with them all but they are all late 1st to undrafted prospects. Cho do this every year. I wonder if it's Cho's weak strategy to focus on 2nd round sleepers more than the top guys or if the agents of the top prospects don't wanna schedule their clients with us rather early in the process hoping to go elsewhere.

I bet most teams probably do something similar

some guys we bring in will be to test the guys we are actually interested in. lots of 2nd round/undrafted guys to fill in so we can do 5X5 and stuff like that. they're basically fodder so we can watch the top guys work.

this workout was probably to get ready for the real thing.

Probably but I know usually I watch teams like the Lakers working out all of the intriguing prospects constantly and it make me feel some type of way.
