I swear I will never understand these things. How we get the orders we get with these players completely baffles me. Not strictly most talented and not best fit. Just weird set up.

I dont see the problem. There is no absolute consensus anywhere about what the BPA order should be. You can make a case for every player being in their spot so far. There are plenty of people who think the lakers should take Russell and you can argue concerns about Okafor. I know you are convinced Hezonja is super overrated, but most people have him going 6-8 and draftexpress has him going 5th.

I think our big boards have been pretty good actually, with the exception of 2011. Here's what we've had the last 4 years for example:

2011

Irving, Williams, Kanter, Biyombo, Walker, Knight, Valanciunas, Leonard, Burks, Vesely, Hamilton, Motiejunas, Tristan T., Klay T.

2012

We didn't do a big board, but did a mock instead.

New Orleans Hornets = K2H ---> ANTHONY DAVIS
Charlotte Bobcats = 4WhomRajaTolls ---> ANDRE DRUMMOND
Washington Wizards = JMAC ---> BRADLEY BEAL
Cleveland Cavaliers = Fats ---> MICHAEL KIDD-GILCHRIST
Sacramento Kings = Ian ---> THOMAS ROBINSON
Portland Trail Blazers (from Brooklyn) = HasheemThabeet ---> MEYERS LEONARD
Golden State Warriors = C77B ---> ARNETTE MOULTRIE
Toronto Raptors = BlackOutBobcat ---> HARRISON BARNES SF
Detroit Pistons = Slam ---> JOHN HENSON
New Orleans Hornets = Bass ---> DAMIAN LILLARD
Portland Trail Blazers = Crunk ---> KENDALL MARSHALL
Milwaukee Bucks = Pooty ---> TYLER ZELLER
Phoenix Suns = amcoolio ---> PERRY JONES
Houston Rockets = SWedd ---> JEREMY LAMB

2013

Noel, Bennett, Oladipo, McLemore, Len, Zeller, Porter, McCollum, Muhammad, Burke, Adams, Caldwell-Pope, Carter-Williams, Olynyk

2014

Wiggins, Embiid, Parker, Exum, Vonleh, Randle, Smart, Stauskas, LaVine, McDermott, Young, Saric, Gordon, Harris,

I've been doing mine based on how they would work out for us. Okafor would probably be a top 5 player in this draft for another team, but I wouldn't even pick him at 9 for the Hornets. Also that was why I picked Hezonja from #3 onwards- after Russell, there isn't a better fit for us than Hezonja.

I don't even remember that mock but apparently I made a solid pick. We should do one for this year.

Yeah, it would have been insane. In hindsight Portland really did destroy that draft. They likely knew that Lillard wouldn't be around with their next pick so they took him at 6 and gambled that Leonard would be there at 11. It definitely paid off for them.

Props too for owning up to the Moultrie pick, respect +1

I'm going with Lamar's cousin. Winslow just duplicates MKG too much for me to take him right now. Maybe next pick.

Dude, I spammed the **** out of this board with trades to move down and pick up Moultrie with an early 10s pick. I wonder what the hell happened to him, but he was obviously just not that good- he dropped to like 29 or something and then sucked in Philly.

we seem to have a thing for drafting #4 or #5 on our big boards

2011- Biz #4 and Kemba #5. we draft them both
2012- MKG #4, we draft him
2013- nope but Zeller (6th) is pretty close
2014- Vonleh #5, we draft him

that means this year we either get Hezonja or Mudiay :)

I chose Winslow.

First runner-up is the Mystery Box aka Lamar's Cousin.
