It was tight for me between Johnson and WCS at 8. Definitely going WCS now. Very least he is a fringe starting rim protector.

went with wcs, i think he will be solid. if he can hit midrange jumpers on a semi-consistent basis he could be an above average starter.

Guess I'm in the minority who doesn't like the idea of picking a Biyombo replacement who won't be as good as Biyombo for about three years. I picked Oubre on his potential. If picks 1-8 go exactly as they're listed here, we have to trade up, even if it's one spot. This draft falls off right there.

While I disagree with this as our big board if this was the way the draft went I would have a huge smile on my face at our pick. We would have WCS as a trade piece and the best SG after Russell still on the board. I went Booker since that is the best fit for us even though he may have a slightly smaller talent level than WCS.

I think big boards should be a mix of talent, upside, and fit. can factor in intangibles too like work ethic and IQ.

I agree that is what we were saying at the #7 pick when I asked what the point was. Some people vote talent regardless of fit and others vote fit regardless of talent in this thing. For me I tend to group prospect who are close in talent then order by fit and upside. Which means this board is far off from what I would have if I was a GM of our team.

This is worst case scenario for me, but I am not sure we can pass up WCS at this point. But who cares - taking a swing for the fences - Oubre.

I'm fine with Biz, so I'll go with Oubre too. Definite bust potential, but if he panned out it would actually fill holes in the roster instead of just making lateral moves.

I'll continue my bizarre obsession with Turner. If we're drafting a center, let's draft one that can be more than just a defensive presence.

Trill Willie...this kid is going to be decent he already dunks and defends...we just need to work on his rebounding
