Brandon Roy was very good. It’s a shame what injuries did to him. And that Portland team was successful, went to the playoffs 3 straight seasons in the West winning on average at least 50 games each year.

On that note add Brandon Roy to the list of players this franchise passed on. Granted injuries drilled his career.

Damian Lillard says hi

Batum didn’t play with the prime Lillard player that you’re seeing now. Aldridge was easily the best player on those teams.

In no way shape or form is Brandon Roy a better player than Lillard thay is laughable. Even trying to say he's was better than Walker is a stretch. He never shot better than 38% from the 3 in any season of his career before the Injury so let's stop acting like hes ray Allen or Steph Curry. Lillard is an absolute monster.

There were lots of discussion before his injury of Roy being up there with Wade at the time as far as the best 2 guards in the league. Its a good debate.

I wasn't nerdy about basketball when Brandon Roy played in the sense of caring about stats, but I loved watching him.

I cant fault any team for passing on Brandon Roy, everyone knew his knees were a time bomb.

Different era but I don’t know, injuries excluded, I’d probably take peak Brandon Roy over peak Damian Lillard. But that’s subject to change based on what Lillard do in this year’s playoffs. He’s been on a tear.

Lillard has only shot it above 38% from 3 his sophomore season. Lillards numbers are objectively better though.

Lillard for all intents and purposes is better, but Roy just had 'It', whatever 'it' is.

Roy seemed like a guy on his way to top 5 player in the league for a long time status

I knew Batum was bad this season, but the math is damning considering how much he is paid. He is easily the player most responsible for the team underperforming. I really hope a new coach can get more out of him going forward.

The Hornets' new coach should take Batum aside and say, "You are 6' 8"--2.06 meters. If you want to play this coming season, you need to learn how to set a screen. Cody here will show you how it's done."

Clifford leaned on Batum too much when it wasn’t even necessary and played him despite being injured when we had a valuable replacement in Lamb.

The same way I blame Clifford for playing a hampered and injured Batum in the playoffs that cost us Game 6 against the Heat in Charlotte when it was clear that he couldn’t move well enough to defend anyone.

History has shown that injured Batum sucks, but we kept trying to force it
