If he doesn't come back, it'll be very interesting to hear how Cho tries to spin it. Would he try to sell a generic line about not having the financial ability to keep him? We still won't have cap space and we'll have another roster spot to fill. I don't think you're going to get better value than Biz offers at the amount of our QO.
It doesn't seem like there should be much uncertainty about Biz - we definitely are not going to have cap space so it's not an issue of being concerned about tying up space. I guess the only uncertainty is how much it would cost to fill roster spots with guys that we'd prefer over Biz, and that's something they aren't going to know before tomorrow.

I expect us to continue the off-season theme of short sighted head scratchers to placate our coach. Who cares if Biz is actually our most productive big? Clifford doesn't value rim protection or offensive rebounding and those are Biz's best attributes. I expect us to all be freaking out on here July 1st. We'll let Biz walk for nothing and end up using one of our cap exceptions to resign Maxiell to be the 3rd center lol.

Biyombo is a great player to have on the team. He has tremendous defensive energy and is always smiling. Charlotte has let him come along slowly and it has been working. Last season, it looked like he finally got enough muscle to compete with the real bigs of the NBA. He's still relatively young and has a great teacher here (Ewing). This seems like a nice fit, but bringing in Hawes could've been the end of Biyombo. There's just not enough minutes to go around, unless you assume Jefferson will get hurt or fatigued.

We were last in the NBA in 3PT% last year. We brought in shooters.
How is that a head scratcher?

I'm sure it's nothing, but I find it interesting that the Hornets twitter handle retweets pretty much all of Biz's tweets. They tend to be inspirational in nature so I guess it makes sense, but at least our marketing folks recognize some value from Biz.

Woj....
Sourcs: Charlotte has informed forward Bismack Biyombo that it won't tender a qualifying offer, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Now this....this is a head scratcher.
Curious if they really expect the market to be so soft that they could resign him for less, or if they're ready to close the books on him.

We're going to be over the cap regardless right? So what does this do? Open up a roster spot, and thats it?
I don't understand, but whatever.

It is beyond stupid, he is better than Hawes and having him at 6-7m$, I dotn see anybody giving him more is affordable and could be a steal down the road.
makes no sense
