They just said this on ESPN radio listing to Cowherd.
What are we even doing? We don't even have space!
I mean do we have deals in place for Jefferson and Hawes? Are we really planning a Monroe/Kaminsky front court?

the only way we can get Monroe is if we trade Al and Marvin/Hawes.
if this is true, it could be very interesting.

I think it's much more likely that Cowherd made a mistake then that Charlotte is doing this. Not seeing it anywhere on twitter, and Cowherd isn't much of a scoopster.

maybe the good old Pelicans/Hornets screw up. haven't seen anything about them either so

if you have insider you can re-listen to the show on ESPN.com later today (i think)
it will on the right side under his book advertisement.

Not sure if it is true but if it is I am excited. Not because I am a huge Monroe fan but because it means we are going to be dumping some salary to even consider it.

Probably not even worth discussing until we get a better source. Who knows what Cowherd could have meant to say.

We would have to dump Al and take NOTHING back. So if a team has the cap space to absorb him they're not competitive and they'll be wanting an asset in return.

Monroe was interviewed this past weekend saying he was meeting with the Lakers, Knicks, Blazers, Bucks and Celtics- didn't mention anything about Hornets.

Either Cowherd is an idiot or made a mistake. Both are highly likely.

I guess a sign and trade could include Zeller and Al.

Probably just a mistake. Otherwise would just be a flat out idiotic signing by us. Let's hope we dump Big Al and Marv and re-sign Biz.

I would recommend to keep Al Jefferson for one year before trading him to take on the younger & less skilled version of him in Greg Monroe. I have a feeling that Cowherd may have confused the current Hornets with the defunct Hornets/Pelicans while thinking New Orleans

It was an ESPN sportscenter segment while on commercial break, I promise I wouldn't make that up. I even rewound 30 seconds to hear it two more times (I was listening on mobile via the app).
The lady said Greg Monroe had scheduled meetings with 5 teams and one of them was the Hornets". I'll try to see if I can find it.

Lol. About the only good thing about being a fan of this team is they always keep it interesting.
