Greg Oden An option? (old news, nothing new!!)

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Wed Jul 8, 2015 12:42 am

I thought we had a separate thread for this but I looked back a dozen or so pages and couldn't find it (sorry if there is one - if there is and you find it please bump it and I will merge).

From June 20th:
Greg Oden Working Out For Mavericks, Hornets As Part Of Free Agent Camps

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/238271/Greg-Oden-Working-Out-For-Mavericks-Hornets-As-Part-Of-Free-Agent-Camps

Got to say when I saw we were going to let Biyombo walk I automatically figured that Oden must have shown out pretty well during this event and we might sign him as a much, much cheaper 4th string rim protecting/rebounding big man.

Could that still be in the works? Could we be waiting to see how Frank does in SL to see if he can play rotational mins in the regular season (which is appear he can)? Could we be looking to trade someone like Marv or Cody to open up the space? Do we even need/want him? Where is Oden at with his attempted come back?

Thoughts?

He's too tall to play 3rd string center for Clifford. What's Reggie Evans up to?

My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody
