I don't want to do predictions for everything, but here is my stats breakdown for our starting lineup. Its too hard to tell what our rotation is going to be at this point so I didnt bother with stats for non-starters. Also, keep in mind that these are based a lot on how I think we are going to play and how many minutes guys are going to get. For instance, I think Al's minutes will be closer to last years than the year before that and I think we will be a little less reliant on him as a go to scorer (Kemba and new additions will make up for it), but I think his efficiency will be a little better and I think he could beat his career high in assists per game by a slight margin.
Kemba - 17.6 / 3.4 / 5.9 / 1.7 / .5 - 42.5% / 34.5% / 84%
Batum - 14.1 / 5.8 / 5.3 / .8 / .8 - 45.5% / 36.5% / 84.5%
MKG - 12.2 / 7.2 / 1.5 / .9 / 1.5 - 47.8% / 0.0% / 73.2%
Frank - 10.1 / 5.9 / 2.6 / .6 / 1.1 - 47.3% / 35.6% / 79.1%
Al - 16.4 / 8.7 / 2.4 / .8 / 1.2 - 50.5% / 0.0% / 69.7%
Lin - 11.2 / 2.9 / 5.1 / 1.5 / .3 = 44.2% / 34.8% / 83.4%

With the roster changes and depth I think Al and Kemba will see dips in minutes and production but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
MKG will lead the team in rebounds
Batum (hopefully) leads in assists
Either Batum or MKG get the coaches nod for the all-star game
Kaminsky will be a starter by January but likely immediatley.
By the end of the year Lin, Batum, MKG, Kaminsky and Cody will be the best unit assuming....Cody isn't traded but he will be.
43 wins

My prediction is that someone will be traded by the trade deadline.
It's the final season for Cliff and he's in a contract year. He needs to win. And with the trades that Cho made to trade away youth for polish (like Vonleh for Batum), he's on the hotseat to show he didn't make the wrong decision and that he can win, too. And the Hornets need to make the playoffs if they want to attract free agents with the coming cap jump that gives every team room to bring in free agents. Not to mention they'd be more likely to entice guys like Batum or Lin to return next season if they can at least make the playoffs.
So if the team isn't in the playoff race, someone is going to be traded by the deadline, since Cliff and Cho are both on the hotseat with one or both of them gone by the end of the season if they can't win.

My Optimistic Short Version -
The Hornets sneak into the 8th seed when injuries take down other teams
40-42 overall
Kemba leads us in scoring and assists (and TO's)
Al is the second leading scorer and the leader in boards and blocks
Batum leads in steals and is 3rd in most everything else i.e. scoring, rb, assists, 3's, TO's etc
Lin is 6th man of year in the NBA
Frank gets 9 and 4 and has the highest 3 pt %
Cody gets 10 and 6
Spencer gets 8 and 6
PJ and Lamb play off each other well and we go with the "hot hand" at the two guard
Marv and Ty are low minute glue guys (wishful thinking)
Roberts is a solid 3rd point guard
Harrison surprises with good play down the stretch in a back up combo guard role after people get banged up
I will be there on Sunday!

We are the Charlotte Hornets, we would be lucky to get lucky to have one of those things happen, much like all four.

Season record: 34-48
12th in East
15th in offense
25th in defense
Breakout player: Cody Zeller
Disappointment: Kemba
Does Cliff keep his job?: Yes
Does Cho?: No
Most likely player to be traded: Future 1st (top 5 protected)
Plot twist: We use out cap space next summer to re-sign Batum and bring in...Gerald Henderson.

25th in defense? Really? You have zero faith that Clifford can scheme his way to at half decent defense?

He hasn't managed it thus far in meaningful games without MKG. Our sample size without him is pretty large. I hope I'm wrong, but I think his scheme is heavily reliant on one player's versatility. Maybe Batum can take that role a bit, but he's probably going to carry too much of an offensive burden to spare a ton of extra energy on defense. I guess top 20 is possible, but I'd be extremely impressed if we are 15 or higher.

Do you remember how bad our defense is without MKG? It was definitely in the bottom half- that's with Bismack there, and defensively Hendo wasn't that much worse than Batum. I'm significantly more worried about the defense than the offense. I think if you factor out coaching schemes around the league, this team has bottom five defensive talent without MKG. Clifford bumps it up to the 15th-18th range IMO. I have quite a bit of faith in his defensive schemes, but there was zero chance that this team would have replicated our last two seasons with this roster, even including MKG healthy. There isn't a coach in this league that could have made a top 7 defense out of a frontcourt of Al/Zeller/Hawes/Marvin/Frank.
I don't agree with HornetMania, but I absolutely see where he's coming from on that front, especially if Al isn't sharp defensively. My estimate would be 12th in offense, and 17th in defense. We're going to be mediocre in every damn way possible (41-41), but that's probably good enough to avoid Cleveland in the first round.

Our team just seems to be reincarnations of bits and pieces from previous seasons Bobcats rosters. And those players weren't very good, so the results should be obvious.
Humour me:
Kemba is Felton
Batum is an emotionless Jackson
MKG is a more injured Wallace (didn't think that was possible!!)
Cody is Hollins
Al is much better Ely (ok, this one is a stretch)
Lin is Hart
Lamb is a worse Richardson
PJ is Neal
Marv is Tolliver
Frank is a confident Morrison
Hawes is McRoberts
Roberts is Augustin
Daniels is Gordon
Hansborough is Adrien
What's the definition of insanity?
