“Adam Morrison,” Dudley called out, naming a teammate from the 2008-09 Charlotte Bobcats. “Remember Adam Morrison? He never took showers, he did the chewing tobacco that he spit all the time, and he wore the same three polos the whole year. This is a guy who made a lot of money, too, at that time. He was the face of diabetes, he was doing everything, he was on the cover of college games, he was [everywhere], and he was by far the worst and [most] disgusting.”
“He was playing when I was there, that’s the thing, he was playing,” Dudley said. “He then tore his ACL, that’s when he didn’t play, but he was playing when I was there. He was playing like 30 minutes a game. Gerald Wallace had to force him to take a shower one time. Had to force him. Imagine that. Imagine forcing a grown man to take a shower. He should be ashamed of himself.”

I really wish we could get some more stories about those early Bobcats years. Such a lack of information out there due to no media interest and a crappy beat reporter who writes for the casual NBA fan.

Dudley just has to be in the media after his playing days are over. Dude's straight-up honest and isn't afraid to spill the beans.

"Sometimes I don’t hit the showers until past six in the evening a couple of nights a week."

As if there's no big difference between the exertions of working from home vs being a professional athlete traveling in close bodily proximity with other grown men who "don't hit the showers."

Brilliant. I've wanted Dudley back on our team for years.

He's a free agent this offseason. If Lamb and Hairston disappoint I hope we go after him.

I remember reading something back then where Morrison said he purposefully tried to be as disgusting as possible so people didnt want to guard him closely...interesting tactic IMO.

reminds me of Drazen Petrovic. don't quote me on that but people have definitely said that he smelled. not sure whether it was a tactic.

Edit: My apologies to the late Drazen Petrovic. Confused him with Iverson for a second there. There was an urban myth that Allen Iverson smelling was a part of his tactic. People have had the same comments about Petrovic but Iverson was the one who was alleged of using it as a tactical advantage.

Although, in all fairness, as his match-up you could have probably sensed Iverson's hangover either way.
