The Hornets cannot afford to overlook anyone right now. Fortunately, after the brutal first six games, the coaching staff now has everyone in the gym on a daily basis for a stretch to fix shortcomings, and perhaps rethink a few things, as well.

I know we can't overlook anyone but Philly is so poorly coached I don't see how they get within 10 points

I still want to say this... there will not be an easy win at any given night for this team...

I am not sure that is fair to the coaching staff. This is, after all, the same front office that two years ago traded away every player on the team that could possibly help them win a game. Now the culture of losing hangs over the team like smog. If the NBA had any sense of respect, it would have prevented this farce from taking place.

It isn't fair, but if you look over the last 5 games, they are committing a ridiculous amount of turnovers, their defense is really bad and everyone seems out of position, and they are greatly misusing their 2nd best player (and probably only other nba player), Noel.

This is a team that is going through the motions waiting for the season to end (it just started) AND they have a really bad, non-NBA roster. This could get really ugly. 9-73 is definitely in play, and hopefully the Bobcats single season losing percentage is broken as well.

The coaches are the last thing I would blame in Philadelphia. That roster, along with each of the previous two iterations of that team, would win like 5 games all year with some of the worst coaches in the league. They are so, so, so far away from being respectable.

I think they can be respectable next season. Another season for Noel and Okafor in his second season on top of another top 3 pick and Saric coming in. I like their situation better than ours to be honest.

We should torch their defense, but at the same time I'm not so sure we will have much success stopping them. Okafor might abuse us. I think we win comfortably but it will probably be a lot closer than it should be for most of the game. At some point we'll go on a big run on offense and they'll give up.

they should have a really nice core next season.

Okafor/Noel/Saric/their top 3 pick and maybe the Lakers pick too.

they just need to get some vets and put the D-League guys in the D-League

Okafor abuse us? Big Al is his daddy, he is like Big Al's long lost son... Big Al will abuse him too...
They actually had a respectful defense last season, it was their offense came up short...
I am really impressed with TJ O'Donell though...

I still can't believe they drafted Okafor. It sounded like they really wanted Russell but it's gotta sting watching KP while Philly is trying to force a classic low post player into Morey ball. I just assumed at the time they didn't want Ja but drafted him anyways to collect an asset for a future trade.

Probably more of an insurance policy for Embiid, but at some point, you've got to draft someone at a position other than center, I mean, come on!

We will draft a PF and Philly will draft a C. its just the facts of NBA life.

very very very young and inexperienced. Unless they draft the next Durant/Westbrook next year, they are not going to be competitive till 2018-19 at the earliest IMO. They have like 3-4 NBA players right now.

I think next season they'll start trying to make the transformation to a winning culture and will fill out their roster with actual NBA players. They have some good talent they just purposely make their roster as bad as possible around their young prospects so that they can remain in the hunt for top picks. I think they will look drastically different as a franchise in a couple years.

they might be forced into signing NBA players this offseason. im not sure there are enough bad contracts to take on for 2nd round picks with an 90 million dollar cap.

looking at the article i posted in the NBA thread (i think) they could have over 50 million in cap room.

if they dont at least try to sign some NBA players with that, just demote them to the Chinese league.
