The Sky Is Not Falling....

After the Knicks loss in NY, half of the board seemed to think that the Hornets were terrible and that Frank Kaminsky was a certified bust after 10 games of NBA ball. I am happy to report that neither is at all true.

I believe that if Kemba doesn't get hurt we make the playoffs as a 6 or 7 seed and may even win a series.
Kaminsky is going to be a good player for years and is already not bad at all. Clifford needs to let him learn on the floor and it looks like maybe he is starting to get that notion.

It now seems that we had a nice off season, bringing in some skilled players and getting rid of fairly junky ones. Lance, Bis, Hendo and Vonleh are all average at best and in Lances case downright bad for the team. Instead of that Motley Crue we got - Batum who is very good to excellent some nights, Lin who is also good, Hawes who is alright and Frank who looks like he may be very good to excellent with some more experience and weight room time.

If we resign Batum, Marvin and Lin to halfway decent contracts and replace aging Al with a more defensive minded big we can make some noise for years. Plus, we still might get a full year out of MKG at some point. Our chemistry is really good right now and people are buying into their roles.

If MKG comes back in time for the playoffs, then I like our chances against everyone except Cleveland and Atlanta. We match up pretty well against the rest of the East. However, if they just sit MKG I have a hard time seeing us winning a series against anyone, but who knows.

What's great about this season is we finally have an exciting team to watch and we correctly adapted to the new NBA instead of being 3 years behind the trend like in years past. Great thing to watch. More than half of the last 10 hornets/bobcats teams have been completely unwatchable.
