This is big because if we play well without him, does he come off the bench when he returns?

This will be extremely interesting to see how we do without him.

We need to sign a big man ASAP. I'm not comfortable with Frank and Hawes seeing 20mpg apiece.

But this does open the door for Kemba's Decemba to Rememba

Tyler Hansbrough is about to get his chance to lock down some regular minutes. I am excited to see him wrestle in the paint.

But.... what if we play terribly when Al is out and coach and Cho are convinced it is because we are missing Al? That is a terrifying thought.

If we had any worthwhile backups i wouldn't be upset, but we don't so this isn't great news for us.

We now have zero inside scoring presence. There is no inside out game except with Walker and Lin penetration. Our backups just aren't that good. Each does something ok, but nothing great. We now have to play Hansbrough more minutes than he is effective at.

Zeller is going to have to play a lot better than he has so far this year and Kaminsky better stop playing scared.

Hopefully this doesn't hurt us, but as of right now I don't see it as a positive.

We're the Hornets. Oden would probably trip over a flight attendant on the flight over here and break his knee again.

Carlos Boozer just debuted on NBATV, get him, good defensive rebounder, good PnR big...
i think Boozer's defense is better than big Al, seriously ;-)

We are going to see a lot of teams blitz Kemba, Lin, Lamb and Batum on the picks and completely ignore the pick setter, similar to how teams defended us when Biz played.... Except at least with Biz we could make some of it up on the defensive end.

Al/Hawes/Boozer would be the worst defensive frontcourt trio imaginable. It has 3 of the bottom 5 defensive bigs in the entire league.

Jeff Adrien would be a massive improvement.

Hawes and Kaminsky better be ready to sling it off a pick n pop. Which Hawes shoots it at the speed of a water buffalo and Kaminsky pump fakes anyone within 10 feet. They better get ready to fire away, eventually it will cause defenses some concern.

Hopefully if we play bad with Al out, it makes Cho realize that it's our poor depth and lack of different skill sets that we have instead of what Fats and JDR said.

I doubt we trade anyone this season, we will just go hard after Whiteside since he is from the area and would like to play at home and if we strike out resign Jefferson to a smaller contract.

Would love to get Henson somehow. He is being misused and could have an Al Horford-like leap with a bunch of playing time and starting in this offense
