We should win this game. I hope our frontcourt show us they are more than Primoz Brezec on the defensive end.

looking at the injury report it looks like they are healthy besides Mudiay and Nelson.

And Will Barton is another reason why this game is my must see. I really like that kid.

Batum going for 30 on one Leg no doubt
Raul
“The other day I saw one of his games. He was running with the ball at a hundred per cent full speed, I don’t know how many touches he took, maybe five or six, but the ball was glued to his foot. It’s practically impossible.”

I think Hornets should rest Lin, probably not play Batum, and dig deep down and win this game. I think today's game may solidify that Frank has hit a wall and so forget about him to starting lineup. Or is it a slump? Lamb is reemerging and that's good.

Batum is needed for Atlanta and Lin's ankle resting until Wednesday would help him.

Random question. What were the Honeybees called when the team was the Bobcats? Some kind of cubs?

Denver might have the most fascinating roster/rebuilding situation in the league. The opportunities and ways they could go are endless.

Per example, their center situation is quite unique. When does a team ever land three high-ceiling guys like Nurkic, Jokic and Lauvergne!? And one cannot even be sure if all three of them become starting centers or none do. I, for one, like each one of them and have no idea how they should move further or give out playing time.

I might be present for the game if I randomly wake up for it. Have the worst stomach virus and headaches. Kept puking like every 20 minutes last night and it got to a point where I was gagging and there was nothing else for my body to vomit out other than bile. I have been in the bed for the most time thus will probably have a hard time falling asleep this night.

denver is about 1 mile above sea level. It will be a tough game for a team already hobbled with injuries to play at lower oxygen levels.

I think the most important DNP tonight will be Bonnell. Have no idea how I will handle this game without his wisdom.

Don't get down starting this game with the usual double-digit deficit. It seems no matter who starts that happens. OK, Clips shot the ball well but the starts of the 1st and 3rd quarters with the team going down and having to make up the deficit is a formula that no longer works.

If you guys want to get really pissed watching the game tonight, watch how bad Kemba is at using the high pick and roll.

His biggest problem is he does not wait for the screen to be set, nor does he come off the screen close enough to rub shoulder to shoulder to the screener. This allows the defender to fight through the screen too easily and the big only has to hedge a little bit to blow the play up.

He is most effective when he splits the screen and zips down the middle of the court which is great when he does, but that play simply isn't there enough and that negates the screener as a real threat out of the play.

Most of the time he just tries to speed around the edge of the big and this play takes too long, before simply throwing the ball back to the screener, for a decent shot. Every now and again he uses a hesitation move and gets by the big but its just far to easy to defend.

If you watch Lin he comes off the screen much tighter and this causes the defender to have to go under and he gets a lot of open shots from that, also this causes the defender to have to switch and the screener sometimes gets an easy basket under neath because of the mismatch.

I am in no way saying Kemba is a bad player, or Lin is better, but you would think that by his 5th year in the league Kemba would be able to run a more effective pick and roll. He should be one of the most dynamic players in the pick and roll, but he just is not fundamentally sound and it is frustrating.

Look at how we run the pick and roll and what little options it creates for us, then watch the other team run PnR and get tons of open shots out of it, because Kemba is always getting stuck on the screen and our bigs dont show hard enough. Clifford needs to make adjustments on both ends, but he is too worried about turnovers and giving up transition baskets to realize we are incompetent at this part of the game.

Lin to play, Batum will "try to play" "test out the toe". Somehow I don't like the sound of Batum trying to play. It sounds like an invitation to just set him back. No guarantee Lin doesn't damage himself even worse playing either but he seems to be in less of a bad condition that Batum.

I don't like the sound of either of them playing tonight, but what can you do? They're two of our best players. At least we got a couple days of rest after tonight.

Well, they both are playing. Nic returns tonight. Hoping at game's end they are both no worse in their injuries, and it's a W.
