after we lose this game Wednesday we will be 5-15 over our past 20 games (back to the blowout win in Memphis on 12/11). That makes us the 5th worst team in the league over that stretch of days.

Earlier in the year, I saw many comments that the Hornet offense was nothing more than Ai and KW shooting the ball and people were excited about the new players changing that. Since I wasnt here last year, could someone tell me the changes that have happened this year compared to last.

Offense between this year and last year is night and day. Last year we were last or 2nd to last in 3pt attempts and 3pt makes and 3pt%. We were among league leaders in mid-range jumper and unassisted mid-range jumpers. There was no spacing with teams doubling Al and leaving MKG, Cody and Henderson open. This year we are jacking 3s at a franchise record and playing 4 out, with Cody as picksetting, rim runner. We also have 3 guards who can run pick and roll this year Kemba, Lin and Batum - often all playing at the same time and 2 bigs who can run offense from 3pt line - Frank and Hawes. Last year everything was based around Kemba/Al.

We've gone from a bottom 3 offense to somewhere in middle of the pack. All roster moves this summer were done to add more shooting (usually at the expense of defense).

What roster changes has occurred during this 5-14 past 19 games? Has it been Cody starting at C? Missing Al's defensive presence lol? Batum, Lamb, and Lin injuries?
That giving up the 2nd most 3s made stat don't sound too good.

it is very obvious the defense is No.1 issue, but I think all issues are related, the offense actually is equally concerning....
the team needs to play a faster pace, increase your offense on transition, Zeller is as mobile as you can get for a center, plus he does not have a post-up game... why not take advantage of it... it will be a lot easier for Kemba and Lin to operate in a faster pace than now... defensively they also need to be more aggressive, you have speed in every position, why not take some chances...

At least OKC will be playing a second night in a row. Maybe Denver will take them to OT!

We haven't beaten the OKC Thunder since March 17th, 2010. Gerald Wallace, Stephen Jackson, and Raymond Felton were our three best players and neither the Thunder nor the Bobcats had ever made the playoffs under their current names. Both made the playoffs that year, and since then, the Thunder have rattled off ten straight wins against us.

why not pull a Pop or Rick Carlisle, rest Nic, Kemba, Lin, Zeller, Marvin...
start Brian Roberts, PJ, Troy Daniels, Frank, Hawes... Tyler the first one off bench, then Harrison....
Brian Roberts might get Westbrook another ejection...
Coach clifford is absent for personal reasons, Patrick Ewing be the coach, all the OKC audience is in awe

Do you want to set the record for worst loss in the history of the NBA? Because that's how you set the record for worst loss in the history of the NBA.
There's a first time for everything. The Bucks broke the Warriors' 24-0 streak to start the year. OKC has off-night every now and then. We aren't comfortably in the playoffs with a bench we know can occasionally carry us to a win. We need every win we can get.
Starting Brian Roberts on Russell Westbrook would have Kobe quaking in his shoes about the threat of his 81-point performance getting outdone.

Team can't run if everyone is told to stay back and secure the defensive rebound. There's been one or two times last game that guys leaked out (eg Nic ran ahead and Lin threw him a full court pass, Nic missed the layup but we got the ball back to Hairston for an open 3 which also missed, Cody running the floor and Kemba finding him for a dunk in transition). I agree there needs to more pushing of the pace.

The fact OKC is just finishing up in Denver, should theoretically give us a shot.

im no bucks homer but lol at you underestimating them. They are the only team in the league this year to beat the warriors not only once, but took them to the shed the second time too. If it wasn't for draymond green mentally snapping in the 4th quarter and just going HAM, bucks wouldve won the 2nd game too. So with that said the bucks are a really good team, they have the bricks and foundation laid and are heading in the right direction. Comparing us to the bucks is a stretch, so the chances of us beating OKC are slightly better than a snowball in hell. I second TinmanZBoy, time to tank, rest the boys, let them have a night out in OKC, and play the bench. We could bring out mkg as well for a few mins.
