Francis is going to have to play more minutes tonight to match up with Porzingis, Marvin is just too small to guard him.

However without Batum we really have no one to guard Melo tonight other than Hairston. We cant hide LIN, Daniels or Lamb on him like we did vs Tobias harris.

Another great Kemba game is needed.

Cliff won't do it, but I wouldn't be against starting a lineup of Kemba, PJ, Marvin, Frank and Hawes to try and match up better with them to start the game.

Leaves us really small on the second unit, but I think we can manage that to start the game if it means Marvin on Melo and Frank on Porzingis.

Frank barely played last night, he should be really fresh for a big minute game.

Not to mention if we start our normal lineup then Lin is going to have guard Afflalo, who is a big 2 guard who likes to post up.

If we go with my proposed lineup then you can at least have PJ on him to start.

I know it is not good to change the rotation, but I do not want them to play the first 8 minutes of the game with there 3 best offensive players having mismatches.

We may struggle to score, but with Hawes and Frank their should be enough spacing passing to make it work.

Then you still have Lin, Lamb, Daniels, Psycho T able to come off the bench with one of Marvin, Frank or Hawes staying on the floor with that group.

With so many guys either out, playing injured or slumping, we really have little chance to beat anybody unless Kemba is on fire. It will be nice once we are less dependent on one player to keep us in games.

Kemba is living proof on why durability should be considered as important as talent.

Still have to have contributions from others. Don't know if it has to be Frank and maybe someone unexpected like Daniels, but others too. Hopefully Lin has it tonight because he usually steps up when starting for a player is injured (not expecting 35, but he could get in the 20s if he has it tonight). Thinking Kemba is going to have another 30 point game in him tonight is kind of fool's gold. If he does good, but we need others too.

that's very reasonable... i think Clifford is too smart to not think about it... you might see it happen tonight...
if he stills starts lin and kemba together, i hope the team up the tempo, at least let the other team pay on the other end too...

This is one of those games where I'd like to see a Hansbrough/Frank/Marvin/Hairston/Kemba starting five. Need players to be able to match up physically with Lopez/Porzingod/Melo/Afflalo/Calderon, and that's pretty much the toughest we've got among our healthy players. Lin should come off the bench to help deal with the Knicks second unit which is actually deeper than ours considering how beat up we are.

Regardless of how tired Kemba must be right now, it's going to take a miracle to pull this game out without another big performance from the only starting caliber player we have at our disposal. The Knicks are only down Lance Thomas and Cleanthony Anthony, so they're pretty much at full strength. Our second best player tonight is probably Frank Kaminsky. HERE WE GOOOOOO

Lamb is out, 9 healthy players, unless Harrison made it back from OKC in time to play.

I don't know about 9 healthy players, but 9 that are available to play. Lamb must have really messed his toe up pretty bad. It's knocked him out of a lot of games.

Meh with any lineup changes. Put the same guys out there to start and see what happens. Lin had 0 for 9 where he scored 2 and the next game scored 26, his highest off of the bench. Put guys out there, see what happens as it is a different night and different matchups and it is home vs. on the road. And really hope that everyone left doesn't get injured.

more evidence that the Kemba-Lin-PJ-Marvin combination doesn't work.

Why does it take Clifford so long to realize when something doesnt work? 3 years of evidence in this regard. This lineup combo was awful the entire time Batum was out.

The Kemba-Lin-PJ-Marvin group has played 101 minutes together coming into tonight. They have a net rating of -19. How much more evidence do you need coach?
