GT: Hornets @ Lakers Sunday Jan 31 9:30 EST

Post#1 » by fatlever » Sun Jan 31, 2016 12:34 am

We might have to roll with this lineup:

Starters: Kemba, PJ, MKG, Marvin, Hawes
Bench: Roberts, Troy, Harrison, Frank, Tyler

The Lakers might not be a good team, but they should easily be favored at home vs our injured lineup. Offense will be a huge struggle tomorrow with Batum, Lin, Lamb, Jefferson and Zeller all set to possibly miss the game. That's probably 4 of our 5 best offensive players (Kemba being the other). Either Kemba has to go nuts and score 40 or MKG has to single-handedly hold them to 60.

lakers are the worst team in the league

i don't think they've been favored in any line this month

Batum is out and Lin is now questionable. I suspect that a drugged up, taped up, hobbling Jeremy Lin will start at SG tomorrow night. Batum gets the night off while one of Batum or Lin will go on Wednesday vs. the Cavs in a very compromised physical state.

How many minutes for MKG, 38? I'm holding my breath this game and feel like it'll be a lot harder to win it than it should be against a terribly coached team.

Kobe may not play.

I guess the other alternative is Lamb comes back and starts at SG since he's also questionable. But Lamb is being held out a long time. I very much doubt Roberts or Daniels starts.

Start Hansbrough. I just want to see what would happen if Hansbrough and Hibbert run into each other. Plus I'm pretty sure a Hawes and Hibbert match-up will have all the physicality of little girl's tea party.

If Kobe doesn't play that will be a plus for the Lakers.

We're .500 (11-11) against the Lakers in the Horncats era. Would be nice to go up on them before their re-building process yields a good team.

Kobe obviously won't play because he wants to uphold his positive record (10-9) against us.

I'm hoping that Lin doesn't play he needs to fully heal that ankle or else he'll just become a current Batum which is a liability. I know our bench is very thin but we're playing the Lakers here lol.

yup, lakers are the like the favored sons of the league. No matter what, after this season when kobe retires for good, they're going to get a bunch of amazing players all at once. Just like how the cavs got 3 first picks 3 years in a row before lebron finally came back. The league is rigged as ****. Watch in this offseason, lakers will some how draft simmons, then durant will sign up, and maybe even westbrook. The draft lottery is just a show.

if you have a functional offense, you will have a good chance to beat the lakers since they don't defend at all....

We really need to get a win tonight. Playoff are skipping away during this injury run. At least it's nice to see MKG out there again.

We wouldn't waste MKG on him. Let Harrison take Kobe.

It helps us if he does. And like Blackout said, putting MKG on him is useless, unless Kobe has actually proven to be on his game. Would much rather stick MKG on Russell or Lou Williams so that they don't warm up.
