So on social media the Charlotte MLS team has spent a while trying to generate anticipation for what they're naming the franchise, and today they made the big reveal: it's Charlotte Football Club.

Some real creativity went into that.

Really wish they had gone with something more interesting like Queen City Football Club if they wanted to stick to the European format.

There was noone who I wanted to draft more on draft day than Kobe. I just saw an interview where he says he would have chosen Carolina over Duke. It makes me sadder knowing we could have had him. On draft day I was the happiest Hornet ever for about 15 mins until the Lakers came calling. Happy birthday mamba

As much as I hate dook I will leave Kobe as a nuetral player for us both. He was as much a dookie as a HEEL. He might have began as a HEEL by attending UNC but at some point his relationship with coach K lead him to develop a love for dook. He represents us BOTH.

P.S. For my Duke fans. I hope me posting Kobe wanting to attend Carolina over Duke doesn't dissapoint anyone. Your school Duke although our most hated rival is well respected, and amazing.

I look at it this way. Kobe would have been a TAR HEEL and the START, and a DOOKIE at HEART.

In life I have always felt that many are called upon to do "HEROIC" things that can shape the world.

Some (in Chadwick Boseman's case) are called upon to do SUPER-heroic things.

As many of you know, Chadwick Boseman, was our very own BLACK PANTHER.

But unfortunately, in life even the Black Panther faces challenges.

One in particular, that has effected so many of us, including myself on a very personal level.

Unlike other Super Hero's, who went from mere mortals, and morphed into their SUPER HERO status...

T'Calla aka BLACK PANTHER was only a SMALL part, of a GIANT, in that of mr Chadwhich Boseman.

As we remember the SUPER HERO, "Black Panther" let us not forget, the SUPER HUMAN Chadwick Boseman was.

RIP Chadwhick Boseman

I feel like the politics have always been a part of sports, it's just recently that the mass media has started leaning left, putting a spotlight on players speaking out. Just look at Jackie Robinson, if you think politics and sports aren't intertwined. Not only politics, but religion as well. Clemson coach Dabo is constantly praising God. If you don't agree with what the coaches/players stand for, then that's your right. But I don't see how it really changes the game itself. Biggest change to the game that you could maybe say is politically motivated would be the attempt to making some sports less violent/more family audience friendly like the NFL has done with hits and NBA has done with swift punishment for aggression.

All I'm saying is that sports and politics will always be combined in some way. For the smaller sports, they can more easily cater to a select audience. For global sports, it's about being open and receptive to all types. Players will be used as voices because it reaches a lot of people who might tune out to usual avenues for political advertisements.

I'm not saying I agree with players and I find most mass media to be written for middle schoolers. But it doesn't take away my enjoyment of the game and the competition the players show. Now, what would make me stop watching sports is if the sport blatantly fixed games to make certain figureheads more prominent due to their political reach. Because that would disgrace the game and ruin any trust in fairness.
