Nothing new from shootaround, but if you're looking for Spencer Hawes it's going to be awhile. He can't even practice right now #Hornets.

No Hawes, means we have no choice but to stick with Jefferson who is playing some historically awful basketball right now. Dead last in the NBA in win shares for centers who play more than 20 minutes. Lowest Net rating on the team recently, team offense numbers just awful lately when he's on the floor.

And we all know Cliff will stand by him til the bitter end.

PG is covered and strong unless they get injured. The big leak is at center.

What position does Courtney Lee play on this team? It looks like Batum is still SG and Lee is guarding the toughest guy on the opposing team from the guard or forward position.

Vs Indiana, Batum guarded George most of the night with Lee on Ellis. Vs Cavs Batum guarding Lebron most of the night with Lee on Smith. Vs Hawks, Batum guarded Bazemore most of the night with Lee on Korver.

Not entirely sure what to make of it. I think if there is a clear size difference between opposing SG/SF, Batum will take bigger. If they are of similar size, Lee will take the tougher, more perimeter matchup. Thats just my guess. I'd say positionally, they are interchangeable.

Lee I think weighs 30 pounds less than PJ, tough for him to guard big wings.

What the heck did Hawsehole do to himself during the break???

Hawes back was a problem before the break. He had a few games and then it's out again. Back problems can linger a long time and it is just impossible to play effectively with them. I do miss some of what he brings.

Bounce back game. Lets go!
