Game 3 of the 7 game home stand.
Pelicans coming off a big win vs Kings.
Eric Gordon out for the rest of the year.
KAT and AD back to back, another tough night for our bigs.
Holiday has always given Kemba trouble on both ends.

The Pels have been plagued by injuries. They're better than their record shows, but we should still be able to beat them. Cody's held his ground against Davis before, and Jrue Holiday once shot like 2-25 against Kemba.

containing Ryan Anderson's threes is the key...
lee/lin handle holiday, Kemba handles Norris Cole

Davis and Anderson, it will be tough night for our bigs, especially Kaminsky...
Holiday plays off the bench, Lin needs to step up in this game. Bounce back game for Lin I predict.

Hawks and Heats keep winning so we must do the same. Even though we swept the Pacers with ease they don't appear to be going anywhere either.

Lin plays only 20 min or so. The guys that play 36-41 mins need to step up their game to get the win.

Come on. Don't be salty because Lin is playing a few less minutes since Lee arrived. Lin is still the 6th man and one of the most valuable players on the team. We need him to break out of his shooting slump.

And technically speaking, only Kemba is averaging between 36-41 minutes (36.1) and Kemba has definitely "stepped up".

Or shoot less and attack the basket more, at least he can get FTs out of it. I don't mind him taking open catch and shoot jumpers but the shots off his own ISO creations have been terrible.

I don't think we can predict how many minutes Lin will play. It may be 18, it may be much more than that.
Lin looks a little out of sync, maybe a few touches and a few shots fall and he's back to being more productive. Cliff should really figure out a way to get Lin in the closing lineup even if it is with Lee. He has a way of delivering. Last game he was in at the very end and got two big possessions leading to 4 big FTs. Lin has struggled with Cole, however, in the past. Does ok with Holiday.
Kemba is on an amazing roll but that doesn't mean other guys won't be needed to contribute. I hope Batum has an up game. When he's on, he's really on but sometimes he's not.

Lee is due for a bigger game. He may be the X factor tonight. Or Kam. Or Lamb. You play the game and you never know. Someone on the Pels may factor big we aren't thinking about. I tend to like games when it isn't the star players who are coming up big. Or the usual guys if not stars.

We have a few units. The starters with Cody, the starters with Big Al, then we transition to a Lin-led unit once Kemba leaves the floor after going 12-14 minutes straight. Then Lin runs point some, but at some point Al is out and then Batum/Cody can be part of it with Kam and Lamb. Then it is usually starters closing out halves, sometimes games (with Lin always a possibility at some point in closing group). So our starters play a lot of minutes and the old BF1 is not really playing as a unit much.
I still think Cliff is missing out not running Daniels as a strategic 3 point gunner strategically in games. He can make a difference in Ws and Ls in some games. Gutes, Harrison and TH are the 3rd stringers with a lot of DNPs but I think it is a waste that Daniels has so many of them.

So who is going to guard him this time? The previous game, none of the guys did a good job, and the bench lost ground. He is listed at 6' 10" and 240 lbs. so Nicholas Batum and Marvin Williams are a bit short and light. Marvin comes closest. Kaminsky has the height but not the speed or experience. Hansbrough never got into the game last time, but Hawes played 11 minutes.
Norris Cole is questionable for tonight, with lower back pain.

Our advantage in this game should be depth. NO have Anthony Davis, Ryan Anderson & Jrue Holiday, and that's about it. Looking for the CHA bench to do to the Pels about what they did to MIN

I'd imagine Anderson comes in early, be guarded by Marvin. Then when he rests, it'd be Frank. It'd be a good learning experience for Frank, guarding a shooting big man that can really score. I think he should do OK.
Norris Cole is questionable for tonight, with lower back pain.

Wow, if Cole's out, they're in serious trouble. Poor Pels.
If he plays, it'd be interesting what LinsaniD 2.0 can do against him.

It looks like Orlando Johnson will start at point guard, in place of Norris Cole. I did not realize he was still in the league. His personal story is inspiring, but he has not seen much success in the NBA.

Is Lin going with the Memoirs of a Geisha look again? Maybe the Mohawk is flopping over too much lately. He needs to shorten it to get it to stand up like earlier.

I think Lin's Porcupine Mohawk may be retired for the season.
