With the way Lin had been playing recently, does it make sense to start resting Kemba soon since he clearly is very tired from carrying the team for so long, and have a fresh Kemba for the playoff run?

I think we have a great chance getting to the second round some rest for Kemba now would definitely help a great deal.

There are eleven games left. The team is tied for fifth place. So which games do you think Walker should rest? Will the coaches even consider it?

I have said over and over that he has been playing too many minutes. The coaching staff has not sought to find games or even minutes when he could rest. They are just riding him like a blind donkey.

After Detroit, the schedule becomes much easier. That would be the time.

He's accustomed to playing big mins. That's not his problem. You rest him now and then when he has to play 40mins a night in the playoffs it would be a shock to him.

He's currently our best PG and we are better with him than without. With so much on the line with so many games left why risk it by resting him?

We are going to smash these dudes anyways.

Looking forward to Cody using his quickness and running rings around Drummond.

Again.

It won't happen. Al can start and put Zeller to 2nd unit, it will happen the starters on O and speed up for 2nd unit.

Lol, give this year's squad some credit.

it is hard to imagine that Hornets sweep the Pacers and Pistons in the same season...I think this one most likely will be a loss, just count it as Clifford does Stan a favor
Hi Clutchie, I love you... :kiss

How about we lock up home court advantage before you suggest we rest players (or if/when it becomes certain we can't get HCA but are locked in to 6 or 7 seed). Until, then, every game should be treated as a must win playoff game.

Resting Walker right now is asburd. Let alone coming off 3 days rest.

Give it a few more games, see how both are doing. I think Kemba's minutes should be dialed down some to get him fresh. He looks worn down lately, not as much pep in his step.

I'm a little nervous. We got Drummond out of the game twice, but could law of averages say he'll have a big game against us? Hope not.

Let's see if KCP is fully healthy. He was hot last game and has been hot lately. Gotta defend him well.

We play the Philadelphia 76ers twice next week, home-and-home. To answer my own question, those two games would be the opportunity to rest Walker. If he did not play at all, that would give him a full week off. If he only played 10-12 minutes and was held out of practice, apart from pre-game warmups, that would still help a lot. The coaching staff has to be thinking about that, as well as the opportunity to rest Batum.

TBF, Kemba's been in a funk and we don't know if it's cuz of a bum knee or something

Kemba should be ready for this game.
This is a must win. I got a feeling Lin might regress.

Return to Charlotte Hornets
