I can't imagine we'd have to have Batum to beat them. Let's clinch this Top 6 seed!

They're resting their only NBA talent. If we don't win with(out) Batum, then we should rest everyone till the playoffs since seeding obviously isn't important to us

Take care business.

Should give Psycho, Jorge, and Troy more minutes to play.

I think Lin should rest. His elbows are ugly. Need him for Sunday. If Bats plays, run him 25 minutes or so only if his knee really feels ok. If Big Al isn't right, rest him as well. Kemba, Marv, Cody, Tank and a combo of the other players potentially without Bats, Lin and Big Al should be able to beat the Nets.

I've never understood the point of ruling guys out for a game when they're nursing a nagging injury. Just because a guy is dressed for a game doesn't mean the coach has to play them. Wouldn't it be better to have them out there just in case we need them for a few minutes to win the game? Is there a rule against doing this?

Difference between a DND-injured, DNP coach's decision?

It's foolish to mess around with Nic's health, as with any injured player. Conditioning? What a joke. Last I looked, Batum averages the 16th most minutes in the NBA.

If you need him in the fourth quarter, then all right.

You can't sit a guy all game and then expect him to save you in the fourth quarter.

Rhythm is real and you don't want guys taking a game or two in the playoffs to get into rhythm.

My opinion of Coach Clifford's sagacity has sunken to a new low.

For my part i think its better that Clifford plays the normal units, that is useful since the odds is that the Hornets won't have the home court advantage. It is always easier to steal first game on the road in a PO serie, so anything that can help them being ready for the beginning of the serie is useful.
