As a Hawk fan, how does your fanbase feel that teams are using your best asset(Batum) as part of their off-season plans?

For me, it's annoying especially when that said player wants to resign and your fanbase for the most part other then the ones who don't like the price tag wants him to stay.
Opinions?

Don't care at all personally. He ain't going no where, but knock yourself out if you want to pretend you're getting him.
You might get some push back on the theory that Batum is our best asset on a max deal though.

its fine.
but i dont think he is our best asset at all, will probably be 3rd if he signs for the 5yr max behind Kemba/MKG who each make half as much and are better/very comparable players. maybe even 4th or 5th depending on who else we sign/young players improvement.
several posters here dont even want Nic at a max for different reasons. (including myself)

I wouldn't mind paying Batum the max if he didn't play international ball all off season and get all gimpy playing for the Hornets b/c of it. He's essentially the coach on the floor and I don't trust Clifford and Kemba's offensive acumen to create an efficient offense without a facilitator like Batum.

Paying Batum the max is a necessary evil at best.
I'm not sure I'd even do it, but I imagine the FO will if they have to because they will be relatively desperate to make sure the team remains relevant at least until the All-Star game. It probably won't be the worst deal in the league, but it won't be the best and it seems like an inefficient use of resources.
