Playoff Wins Prediction

Post#1 » by Slingblade » Sat Sep 3, 2016 11:05 am

I thought it'd be fun to do one of these on each board. Provide your summary/response below if you wish to be included in the contest.

The Hornets are a tough team to predict. I think they end up in the #4/#5 series in which case they are a strong over 2.5 wins bet as I'd expect them to be slight favorites or slight dogs in most matchups.

I also think they have a decent shot at getting 3-4 games off toro or Boston if they meet them. I don't see them getting by cleveland but they may have as good a shot as anyone else in the East truthfully.

The hornets bench is depleted and if MKG gets hurt again they have no one to really replace him. If healthy though they have ECF potential as their best 5 lineup (Kemba, Batum, mkg, marv, zeller) is easily one of the best possible lineups in the NBA.

Missing the playoffs is a slight concern as they have a terrible bench and nearly their entire starting lineup has a lengthy injury history.

I went over.

If we're healthy, then I really believe we have a good chance at beating anyone in the conference outside of Cleveland. I think this is the year we finally win a playoff series, maybe two based on the matchups.

It's kind of a weird topic because you have to predict both how we'll play and the team we'll be facing.

We're winning 50 games.

If healthy, they are 3rd-6th best team in the East (TOR, CHA, ATL, INDY). If Batum/MKG goes down, CHA may not make the playoffs.
