Only transcendent talents can carry a team when they are the only star.

Kevin Love and co are a bit better than that Bobcats team

But if you are talking about taking that much money off the court it makes a huge difference. Also I am not sure how much better Love and company are. Love never really won a lit in Minny either. He had one season of 40 wins then a 31 and the rest are in the 20s and teens.

I am not saying trade for Kyrie either here but there as a valid point made in comparison to Kemba. When you handicap things the way this was done it doesn't give a fair look at the results.

Maybe so Diop, but once again Kevin hasn't asked to be traded.

Yeah, again, unless you're strawmanning it's unclear who or what you're responding to. If someone asserted he couldn't "carry a team" it certainly wasn't me -- the bar I offered was far lower.

The Kings owe us for the Bellineli trade. We helped them clear cap and we gave them a first.

We send Lamb and O'Bryant to Sacramento for Carter and Giles.

It's basically the Bellineli trade but in reverse.

Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. If so someone tell Magic he owes us for the Kobe/Divac trade.

How would a Wiggins for Batum/Monk trade be received? If negatively, how about Wiggins for MKG/Batum?

I think Wiggins would be a great get but I think that's too steep for us.

I am pretty sure the wolves are going to want to see how well these guys can play together before trading a core peice.

If the Irving trade is voided we could get a kings ransom for Kemba from the Celtics. But I'd destitute myself before I agreed to trade him to Boston. The more likely outcome is that Boston either agrees to up their offer or they have to keep IT.

Yeah there's a very fine line between Charlotte helping Boston and the Celtics playing themselves by dealing with a younger, and deeper, roster compared to the Cavs.

I'd do it if they make that 2nd a 1st.

OK, that's funny!
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

i would do this in December or January if Dwight doesn't screen our guys and just parks his ass in the paint on offense. Otherwise Dwight>Biz.

Orlando probably wants nothing to do with this, unless they want to shave off a year of Biz's contract.

It wasnt really a serious proposal, just some fun for the Biz fan club.

Need to see how Monk does before doing that trade.

Would definitely trade Nic for Wiggins, 50/50 on trading MKG and Nic for Wiggins but would probably do that too if MKG keeps being meh.

Wiggins contract will be pretty bad, but he has legitimate upside so he could be worth it.

What you think?

Knicks:

Out: Melo
In: MKG+pick

Hornets:

Out: MKG
In: Gordon+pick+whichever SF

Rockets:

Out: Gordon+2 picks+whichever SF
In: Melo

If by mid-season the Thunder are better, but still not close to competing with the Warriors and Westbrook tells the team that he intends to follow Lebron next year should we make an offer for Paul George?

Marvin, JOB, Graham, and our 2019 1st for Paul George.

We'd be in trouble next season with no easy way to replace Marvin, but would a half season of George and a quite probable trip to the ECF be worth it?

If I didn't respect Marvin as much as I do my answer would be an unequivocal yes, but I'd hesitate to just dump him like that for only half a season. But then again this franchise has never made it to a conference finals, so it wouldn't be an easy decision.

The East is as wide open as it's ever been and is ever going to be in this lifespan of this core. I disagree with the premise of this scenario and OKC will get much better offers than this, but if it's there I think we bite the bullet and do it and hope against hope that we rattle off a deep enough run to make PG think about re-signing here long term. MKG and PG share SF and PF duties based on matchups and we have Dwight/MKG/PG/Batum/Kemba with Zeller/Frank/Lamb/Monk/MCW off the bench? Hell yeah. Have a hard time believing anybody but Boston or Cleveland could take us down. If Monk looks good, that team is still good for a 4-5 seed the next year even if PG bolts.
