PS7: Hornets @ Wolves Fri Oct 21 8PM EST

Post#1 » by fatlever » Fri Oct 21, 2016 5:12 pm

Batum, Marvin, Cody, Hawes and Roberts are not playing.

Hopefully we get to see a lot of some of the fringe guys tonight. No need to play Kemba and MKG big minutes tonight on 2nd day of back to back. Give Harrison and Sulaimon some minutes at PG to see if either can cope. Play a Woods-Tobey frontline for extended minutes. And if Graham is healthy, give that dude some serious run.

Thanks, was just coming here to post that. I had no idea. Gonna be a lot of scrubs tonight, but still will watch, or at least record and watch later.

The jumper by no. 14 looked smooth.

Can't watch tonight but the ESPN box score has us going small with 4 guards, MKG, and Hibbert. Yep, six on five.

No one else seems to be here, but if you notice, the team is shooting 38% vs. 39% in preseason, 17% from three vs. 25% in preseason. Not to mention, the team has only 5 assists in the first half. I hate to say it, but that the offense looks anemic so far, and nothing has changed.

Looks like Kaminsky is injured, only played 8 minutes. I was not listening to the audio, just watching, so will have to look for an update in the second half, unless someone else chimes in.

It's a "sore right foot," according to the team.

They just announced on twitter that he sprained it, nothing about how bad.

These frontcourt injuries really expose how much Cho didn't do in the frontcourt this offseason to me.

No assists in the first eight minutes of the second half. It looks like one on four at times.

It's gonna be a long season. Christian Wood reminds me of that guest staring high school basketball player on that old show WHATS HAPPENING that roger used to tutor named SNAKE

What do you mean? Our big depth is a lot better than our wing depth, which I think is a real problem since we basically need MKG to stay healthy. We're just down two starters and two backups in this game.

Funny thing is even the app isn't displaying the score as prevalently as they typically do on the home page, just says Charlotte vs. Minnesota

WELP, this is a disaster of a game. Frank gets injured and our 2nd/3rd stringers looks horrendous.

Could we really be going into the start of the season with MKG as our starting PF? Wouldn't be the worst matchup in the world vs Bucks as MKG would only have to guard Parker, which seems doable.

Little bit concerned with how fast the wheels fell off with this bench group, even with a vet like Sessions running the offense. You'd like to think he could at least help get them some half decent looks, not desperation shots every time.

Well thank God we haven't had backcourt injuries YET to expose how much Cho didn't do to upgrade the roster at all this offseason (to me).
