damn I hope you have a sleeve for that Christian Wood card. That's ultra-rare needs to stay mint condition

I love the 50/50 Hawes ability. Perfect.

Frank is questionable to play. Cody is day to day. I assume since Marvin was not mentioned by Cliff today, he will play. Bonnell said yesterday that Marvin would play.

Probable starters

Kemba - Batum - MKG - Marvin (broken left finger) - Hibbert

Probable Bench Unit

Sessions - Belinelli - Lamb - Kaminsky (Hawes if Frank is out) - Zeller (Hawes if Cody is out).

either way I expect to see Hawes play, even if everyone is healthy.

Saw on twitter that Cliff said he expects MKG to spend some time at PF while Frank heals up, since both MIA and MIL plug wings in at PF (Jabari for MIL, Winslow for MIA).

didn't we open against the bucks a year or two ago also?

i think we were getting blown out and came back to almost win.

Correct, that was Lance's first game. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201410290CHO.html

Down 15 at the start of the 4th quarter, at one point in the 3rd quarter we were down 74-50.

Kemba shot 9-26 that game lulz. Neal was 2-11.

That game had a classic ending, Kemba being Kemba:

Reminder that Khris Middleton is out.

Safe bet that this is going to be a really ugly game offensively all the way around.

Who are the Bucks starting?

Delly - Giannis - Parker - Teletovic - Plumlee

or does Snell slide in there in place of Tele and Parker moves down a spot?

or does Snell start in place of Delly for the all length team?

They generally tend to play Parker at 4 for defensive purposes. So I'm guessing

Delly, Snell, Giannis, Parker, Plumblee

But they could start Henson also and move Parker to SF

It seems as if we open against them every few years.

For some reason, I remember the lockout season opener very well. It was Captain Jack's first game back and he had a four-possession sequence of something like "banked-in three - personal foul - airball three - technical foul".

We came back and won in a close game. All of the veterans (Maggette, DJA, Hendo) were actually playing, injuries would follow later on. Kemba put Sanders on skates in his first game in the league. Biz was running around clueless. Gana Diop was heavily involved.

Then we followed it up with a one-point loss against the Heatles. Soon after Boris Diaw had that game in MSG where Clyde Frazier misspoke and had the fantastic Freudian slip of "Michael Jordan has been fantastic" or smth. We were like 2-3 and nothing indicated the horror that would follow.

Ahh.... those were the days.

I have no idea what to expect. We always seem to start our seasons slow but I really want to believe that this is the year that we don't. Especially when four of our first five games are against teams that won't be anywhere close to the postseason.

With Middleton the Bucks are a damn good team. Without him we should win. That Middleton, Giannis, Parker small ball lineup will be lethal, eventually.

Not only that, but we also opened against them in 2011 so this marks three season openers against the Bucks in the last six years.

Rick Bonnell ‏@rick_bonnell 49m49 minutes ago

Marvin Williams says his broken finger healing fine. He'll play with a small brace on that finger.

Doesn't sound likely that Frank Kaminsky will play in @hornets season-opener tomorrow.

Barring a setback, Cody Zeller and Brian Roberts will be available for opener.
