1st and 3rd in the East. Maybe this is finally the year the series blossoms into an I-85 rivalry?
EDIT: And, BBMF.

another chance to measure ourselves vs the East's best teams. 0-3 already vs Cleveland, Boston and Toronto.
How many years in a row will I be wrong about Atlanta? I have predicted them to miss the playoffs like 7 years in a row, figuring this will finally be the year they fall off the treadmill. It never happens. They look solidly like a top 4 team in the EC so far.
Cleveland
Toronto
Atlanta
Chicago
Boston
As well as we have played so far, I am still not sure we are better than these 5 teams. I figured Chicago would slide into the playoffs on pure talent, but they are blowing away expectations so far. Their starting 5 has been fantastic. And if Wade and Jimmy keep making 3s they will be that much tougher to guard. They are also super deep on the bench.
Good news, the Pacers and Knicks look lost so far.

Looks like Roy will be available tonight. We can use the extra body vs Howard.
Hawks bench has been really good so far this year.

We can't turn the ball over because Cliff is keeping it under the sweater. Lol at the choice of picture.
As Fats said I also didn't expect neither the Hawks and the Bulls to be this good, however I think we can slide into the 4th seed instead of the latter. I can't see those 3s raining all year.
Go Hornets

From
Perkinsfor3's post on GB
For what it's worth this early in the season, Atlanta seems to have good starts and a good punch from their bench. If you follow this graph, the big if is will the Hornets be able to match Atlanta in the first half, and will they be able to perform like the current trend in the third (funniest part of Charlotte's chart).
It's really good to have Lamb back in the rotation, the bench has to perform extremely well in order to compete. Sefalosha out is the best news of the day.

It might be worth to put Batum on Schroeder from the start, with Sefolosha out their guard rotation is rather thin (Delaney used to play in french league, he was not the best defender and rather streaky to say the least).
