This game is for all the marbles. Win and we do something we have not done since January 2001, be above .500 on January 15th. Yup, that's a completely insignificant date, with no real importance other to highlight how this franchise either starts slow or falls apart in January every year, even in the playoff years.

And if that isn't bad enough, Embiid, Stauskas, Ilyasova, and Rodriguez all attempt 3+ 3PA a game and connect on 37% or better. Covington and Saric can catch fire on occasion too. We can't even pack the paint against Philly anymore.

This is definitely a must win game. And for a very good reason, arguably the best : i will watch.

So what's okafors story? Is he injured or just a bust? Completely forget he was even on the 76ers

I got us losing because as Fats tell it this franchise hasn't been above .500 on January 15th in over 15 years.

Embiid gonna hit 5 threes. Ilyasova gonna hit 4 threes. Covington gonna hit 3 threes. Saric gonna hit 2 threes. Hendo gonna hit 1 three.

Embiid and Ilyasova were both awful from the field against NYK, so yeah we'll probably get their bounce back game.

I mean, do they players and the organization even know how important this game is? The streak needs to be broken. I feel like I should get on twitter and shout to the Hornets to let them know they have a chance to do something that hasn't been done in 16 years.

Somebody needs to tell Collins to bring this up in his random stat of the game.

We've been close twice in this span of 16 years. In 2009-10 season we were 18-19 on 1-15-2010. In the 2001-02 season we were 18-19 on 1-15-2002. Last year we were 18-21 on 1-15-2016.

But on Monday January 15th, 2001, the Charlotte Hornets were 23-17.

OK. I sent a tweet to Hornets, Hornets PR, Fox Sports SE and Stephanie Ready. I expect to see playoff level intensity from Hornets tomorrow as a result.
