Assuming the Hibbert and Hawes for MP1 (Duke reference for all you non-Duke fans, Mason is MP2 and Marshall is MP3) trade goes through and Cody is not healthy, who is our backup C against Utah? Toss up between Wood and Tobey? Frank with MKG at PF?
Will be an interesting game.

It's possible this move opens up some PT for Wood. You'd have to figure Wood is ahead of Tobey in the rotation (unless they only view Wood as a PF, which is very possible given his slight frame).

Frank and Lamb next to each other could make up for the lulz that we're subtracting by sending out Hawes.

Will Plumlee play in this game?

in a weird way, this is the first game I've looked forward to in a long time.
not necessarily because I want to see how Plumlee does, but just due to the sole fact that there will be a change in rotation, how a different type of player might influence the way the second unit plays, etc.

He could be the best match up against Gobert even though it's easy to assume any player not named Cody that will be sent against Gobert will probably send him to the line (and i don't necessary mean from biased calls).
I just hope the defense from the bench will look better now, even though the backcourt defense is not fixed for now (at least, till a 3 D is signed). MKG cannot make up for everything, and Batum with most bench players is not a factor on that end most of the time.
I hope Plumlee will play, even for limited minutes. My only wish being that it works like it worked for Marco, but, needless to say, on the other end of the court.

Unfortunately for Utah they continue to have injury issues - Hood has an LCL sprain and bone contusion in his right knee and is going to be out for a bit.

Kemba Walker missed practice today with an illness. Questionable for Jazz game

Maybe McCallum was simply Kemba being sick insurance, in which case, us Sessions haters will be disappointed.

Maybe, but Sessions getting 7 minutes against GSW seems telling, just like Roy sitting out that game was as well.

Sessions has been benched more than once in the 2nd half of games where we are losing, although never for Roberts. I viewed that is Cliff trying something different in a game that was basically a blowout after the first 5 minutes. Hibbert has been benched before in games where he is a bad matchup, like vs Boston. Warriors w/out Zaza really negated any need for Roy.
I'm still 100% convinced that Sessions will be the first PG off the bench (or starter) vs Utah.

I guess this means Cody is out again. I thought there were at least some hopes he might play.

Kemba missed practice with an illness. Cody Zeller still out. Ramon Sessions has a sore knee.

And there it is, Sessions as a sore knee, Kemba is sick = McCallum 10-day insurance.
Sessions not playing 2nd half most likely related to knee not performance.

if it meant that Kemba, Sesh (and hopefully Zeller) were healthy for Tuesday, February 7 vs Brooklyn, I'd be alright with tanking this game and playing only the fully healthy guys.
1 in 10 shot that Charlotte can win this game anyway. the season has to be saved with a 3-1 in the four-game stretch vs Brooklyn, Houston, LA Clippers and Philadelphia at home.
